Burglary at E & J Liquor Store 5-22-2014

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating an overnight burglary at the E&J Liquor store located at 828 Forest Street.  Sometime between Wednesday, May 21st at 10:15PM and Thursday, May 22nd at 7:45AM, an unknown suspect gained entry into the business by forcing an air conditioning unit through a window.  The suspect then removed several bottles of liquor and cans of Bud Ice beer. The suspect then fled out the window with the items.  Anyone with any information is asked to call 302-736-7111.  Callers may remain anonymous. Arrest Made in Bank Deposit Robbery 5-22-14

Update:The Dover Police Department has arrested 23-year-old Lance Parker in connection with the robbery that occurred early Saturday morning in the parking lot of PNC Bank.  Parker and an unknown accomplice approached a female victim as she was making the night deposit for her employer and displayed a handgun, demanding the deposit.  The victim complied and no injuries were reported.  Detectives from the Dover Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit were able to develop Parker as a suspect after tracing his GPS monitoring unit issued by Probation and Parole, which placed Parker in the area at the time of the robbery.  Parker was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of $60,500 CASH bond.

Location: Parking Lot of PNC Bank, 87 Greentree Drive, Dover, DE

Original Narrative:  On Saturday May 17, 2014 at approximately 0530 hours a female victim was seated in her vehicle in the parking lot of the PNC Bank on Greentree Dr.  The victim stated that she was about to make the night deposit for her employer, Shore Stop, when she was approached by an unknown black male suspect. The suspect was armed with black a small frame semi-automatic handgun. The suspect demanded the deposit bag from the victim and fled with same towards Kenton Rd on foot. The suspect is described as a black male, early 30’s, 5’8″ to 5’9″, average build and was wearing all black clothing and his face was covered with a cream colored towel. Traffic Stop Leads to Large Heroin Arrest

Narrative:

On Wednesday May 21, 2014 at 2216 hours the Dover Police Drug Vice and Organized Crime Unit and Dover Safe Streets Unit contacted defendants Amber Plum and Philip Wooten both from Harrington, Delaware during a traffic stop at the above location. The investigation continued with the discovery of 434 bags of Heroin packaged for sale inside the vehicle. The defendants were also in possession of an additional 11.2 grams of raw Heroin packaged in two larger bags. If the raw Heroin was packaged the same way as the other bags it would have yielded another 560 bags for a total of 994 bags. Officers located drug paraphernalia, prescription pills and $1370.00 in united states currency. Defendant Amber Plum was committed to Baylor’s Correctional Center in default of $55,250.00 secured bail. Defendant Philip Wooten was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of $55, 250.00 Secured bail
