Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred early Sunday morning.  At approximately 4:20 a.m., officers responded to the 100 Block of S. New Street for a report of shots fired.  Officers located a 47-year-d female with a gunshot wound to her leg.  The victim was transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital to be treated for her injury.  The suspect was described as being a tall black male with lighter skin and glasses.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130.  Callers may remain anonymous.  Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at delaware.crimestoppersweb.com; a cash reward is possible for information leading to an arrest.

Two Baltimore Men Arrested on Firearms and Drug Charges

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department arrested two men from Baltimore, MD on drug and firearms charges on Friday evening.  Miguel Dorsey (22) and Marquis Pack (23) were stopped in the area of S. Bradford Street and Division Street when officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.  Upon checking the vehicle, officers located a backpack containing 45 grams of marijuana and paraphernalia commonly used for the sale of marijuana.  A second bag was also located inside the vehicle that contained a handgun and ammunition followed by additional bags of marijuana containing 136 grams, 122 grams, and two bags containing 4 grams of marijuana in each.  While walking Pack to the patrol car, he attempted to flee on foot while handcuffed but was taken into custody quickly.  Dorsey was searched after being taken into custody and found to be in possession of “brass knuckles” and a switchblade.  

Officers later conducted a check of the firearm and learned that it was reported stolen out of North Carolina.  

Miguel Dorsey was released after posting a $1,700 secured bond on the following charges:
-Possession of Deadly Weapon During Commission of Felony
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
-Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Drug Paraphernalia

Marquis Pack was committed to SCI on a $14,000 cash bond on the following charges:
-Possession of Deadly Weapon During Commission of Felony
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
-Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Drug Paraphernalia
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Receiving Stolen Firearm
-Resisting Arrest (2x)
