Narrative: A Dover man was arrested early Monday morning after he was found in possession of a firearm. Dante Durham (25) was stopped at approximately 6:30 AM Monday morning at Saulsbury Road and Walker Road as part of an investigation into a separate incident. During the stop, officers discovered a loaded .380 caliber handgun. Durham is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing a firearm. Durham was arrested without incident and released on $15,000 secured bond by Justice of the Peace Court 7.

Update: Charmele Seymore was arrested on July 21st at approximately 6:19PM after Dover police received an anonymous tip that she was walking in the area of North DuPont Highway and White Oak Road. Seymore was taken into custody without incident and is being held on $180,000 cash bond at Baylor Correctional Center.

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department is seeking a 29-year-old Dover resident after stabbing her ex-boyfriend on the night of July 4th, 2014. At approximately 9:57PM, officers responded to the parking lot of the Holiday Inn located at 561 North Dupont Highway for a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers contacted a 51-year-old male victim who had numerous slash/stab wounds to the chest and abdomen. The victim identified Charmele Seymore as the person who assaulted him. Seymore and the victim were involved in an argument when she displayed a knife and assaulted the victim, stealing his money, then fled the scene. The victim was taken to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital where he is listed in stable condition after undergoing surgery for his wounds. Seymore’s whereabouts are unknown at this time and has a warrant for her arrest. Anyone with information on Seymore’s location should call the Dover Police Department at 302-736-7111.
