Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Armiger’s early Saturday morning. At approximately 1:20 a.m., Dover Police responded to the business for a burglary alarm. Upon arrival, officers determined that a garage door window had been broken by a black male suspect. Once the window was broken, the suspect entered the business, removed property, and fled the area on foot. No other description is being provided at this time.

Juvenile Arrested with Firearm Following Trespassing Complaint

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested a 15-year-old male from Dover, DE on weapons charges following a trespassing complaint early Saturday morning. The investigation began at approximately 1:50 a.m. when Dover Police received a call for a suspect going through a vehicle in the 400 block of Worchester Drive. Officers responded and located the suspect in the area of Thames Drive and Trafalgar Drive and attempted to contact him. The suspect ran from the officer and while running, threw a handgun from his jacket pocket, and continued running. The suspect was eventually taken into custody without further incident and officers recovered a loaded polymer 80 9mm handgun in the area he was observed throwing the firearm. The suspect was identified as a 15-year-old male from Dover, and he was found in possession of screwdriver and wrench. Further investigation revealed the suspect was attempting to steal vehicles however he was unsuccessful.

The 15-year-old male was transported to Dover Police and arraigned through JP7.

He was committed to Stevenson House on $12,600 cash bail on the following charges:
-Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person (2x)
-Possession of Burglars Tools
-Tampering with Physical Evidence
-Possession of marijuana
-Resisting Arrest
-Trespassing Second Degree

Two Juveniles Arrested After Fleeing in Stolen Vehicle

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested a 16-year-old male and 17-year-old male, both of Felton, DE, following a stolen vehicle investigation. The investigation began early Friday when the victim, who resides in the unit block of Liberty Drive, reported her vehicle stolen. The vehicle was a 2017 Hyundai Elantra. At approximately 12:50 p.m. on Friday, the victim contacted Dover Police again and advised that her vehicle was in the area of Stevenson Drive. Officers responded to the area and located the vehicle on Fair Wind Place Dover, DE.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle at which time it accelerated over a grassy area and fled. The vehicle continued to flee, striking a City of Dover fire hydrant and eventually caused an accident at the intersection of White Oak Road and Bay Tree Drive when it failed to yield the right of way to 2015 Honda Civic. Police were able to take the 16-year-old-male driver and 17-year-old-male passenger into custody. As a result of the collision, both defendants and three other individuals were taken to Bayhealth Medical Center for treatment. Once the juveniles were released from the hospital, they were transported to Dover Police where they were processed and arraigned through JP7.

The 16-year-old-male was released on OR bond to his guardian on the following charges:
-Theft $1500 or Greater
-Disregarding a Police Officer Signal
-Conspiracy Second Degree
-Theft Under $1500
-Criminal Mischief Under $1000
-Driving without a Valid License
-Fail to Yield Right of Way when entering or crossing
-Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign
-Carless Driving

The 17-year-old male was released on OR bond to his guardian on the following charges:
-Theft $1500 or Greater
-Conspiracy Second Degree
-Resisting Arrest
