Dover Teen Arrested By Patrol Officers Following Attempted Burglary

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested a 15-year-old black male of Dover following a glass break alarm at First State Vape early Thursday morning. The investigation began at 2:07 a.m., when Dover Police Department was notified of an alarm at First State Vape. Patrol Officers quickly responded and observed two black males running from the business on foot. Officers chased the suspects and were able to take the 15-year-old male into custody. Officers checked the area for the second suspect and could not locate them. The ensuing investigation revealed that the suspects shattered the front glass of the business in an attempt to enter to store and steal items. The suspects were unsuccessful in making entry and did not take anything from the store. The 15-year-old was transported to Dover Police Department where he was processed.

The 15-year-old was turned over to his guardian after being charged with the following offenses:
-Attempted Burglary Third Degree
-Conspiracy Second Degree
-Criminal Mischief Over $1,000
-Resisting Arrest
-Attempted Theft Under $1,500

Attempted Burglary At Cosmic Smoke

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating an attempted burglary that occurred at Cosmic Smoke, 515 South DuPont Highway Dover, DE, early Thursday morning. The investigation began when Dover Police Department was called to the business for an alarm activation. Officers responded to the store and determined that a front window to the business was damaged by a rock. The investigation revealed that an unknown suspect threw a rock at the window causing damage, in an attempt to gain entry into the business however they were unsuccessful. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.

The only description available at this time is a male wearing a surgical face mask on a bicycle.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Exxon. The investigation began at 12:52 a.m., when Dover Police Department took the report of a burglary at the business. Officers responded and contacted the manager of the store. The ensuing investigation revealed that at 12:30 a.m., a white male wearing a purple shirt, jeans and gray sneakers, forced his way into the store by prying the rear gate, and once inside, stole lottery tickets and Newport cigarettes. The suspect fled in an unknown direction

Robbery in Parking Lot of Cosmic Smoke

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred Saturday evening. The investigation began at 7:53 p.m., when Dover Police Department was notified of an assault in the parking lot of Cosmic Smoke. Officers responded and contacted the victim, a 33-year-old male, who had sustained injuries from the assault. The victim refused medical treatment. The ensuing investigation revealed that as the victim exited his vehicle he was confronted by a group of 15-20 people, aged approximately 10-years-old to 19 years-old. During the confrontation, several subjects in this group began physically assaulting the victim, and during the assault, they demanded the he turn over property. The suspects stole a key fob belonging to the victim and fled.
