Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a residential burglary that occurred in the 100 Block of North American Avenue October 15th.  Sometime between 1:30PM and 6:00PM, an unknown suspect entered a residence by forcing open a rear door while the resident was not there.  Once inside, the suspect removed various jewelry and precious metal items before fleeing.

Armed Robbery at Valero Gas Station 10-16-2019

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of a gas station that occurred on Tuesday night.  At approximately 9:17PM, an unknown white male suspect entered the Valero gas station located at 530 N. DuPont Highway.  Once inside, the suspect displayed a black handgun and demanded money.  The victim complied and the suspect fled the business with an undisclosed amount of cash toward the area of Chatham Cove on foot. 

The suspect was described as a white male, wearing all black with a cloth wrapped around his face.

Kirkland’s Robbed by Man Wearing Clown Mask 10-16-2019

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is seeking the identity of a robbery suspect from an incident at Kirkland’s home store on Tuesday night.  At approximately 8:59PM, officers responded to Kirkland’s for an armed robbery.  It was learned that prior to the robbery, store employees found an unknown black male suspect in the stockroom.  The suspect was escorted out by store employees at that time.  The suspect then returned wearing a clown mask and had his hand in a bag as if he were armed an demanded cash from the employees.  The employees complied and the suspect then locked the employees in a back room and told them to wait fifteen minutes before contacting police.  The suspect then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.  

NOTE:  An prior release stated that images were attached in the release.  This as incorrect.  Detectives are currently working to obtain quality surveillance images of the suspect.  They will be released at a later time.

Dover Police Investigating Possible Shooting Incident 10-16-2019

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating an alleged shooting incident that occurred on Wednesday morning.  At approximately 2:46AM, a 17-year-old male was transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital by a private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the lower leg.  The victim claimed that he was shot outside of a home in the 200 Block of West Division Street.  However, there was no evidence of a crime scene in the area nor was there any reports of shots fired.  The victim provided no suspect information, possible motive, or any witness information pertaining to the incident.
