Dover Police Issue Statement In Regards to Ongoing Kurt Busch investigation
Due to numerous media inquiries regarding a criminal investigation involving professional race car driver Kurt Busch, the Dover Police Department has issued the following statement:
The Dover Police Department can confirm that an investigation is being conducted based on an allegation of domestic assault that is alleged to have occurred in the City of Dover involving Mr. Busch. These allegations were brought to the Dover Police Department on Wednesday, November 5th at 2:00PM. At this time, the department is still investigating the victim’s claims and will not have any further comment on this matter in order to preserve the integrity of the case. The Dover Police Department will release further information as it becomes available. We appreciate the public’s and media’s patience in this matter and are confident that the department is taking the proper investigative steps to ensure the case is resolved appropriately.

Police ID 6th Suspect in Kirkwood Street Robbery 11-7-14
Update: The Dover Police Department has identified the 6th suspect in this incident as 17-year-old Isaiah Harber. Harber, is wanted on a violation of probation in a prior assault case along with the following charges stemming from this incident:
-1st Degree Robbery
-Riot
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
-Assault 3rd Degree
-Resisting Arrest

Location: 100 Block of Kirkwood Street, Dover, DE
Original Narrative:
Five suspects were arrested and police are seeking a 6th in the robbery of a 41-year-old Dover man on Saturday afternoon. The robbery occurred as the victim was walking northbound on South Kirkwood Street. The victim advised he was “swarmed” by multiple juvenile suspects and he was punched and kicked multiple times. The victim suffered a facial laceration and swelling to his head as a result. During the attack, the suspects stole a bag belonging to the victim and fled into a residence in the 100 Block of North Kirkwood Street. A review of surveillance video corroborated the victims account of the incident and also showed the suspects fleeing into a residence in the 100 Block of North Kirkwood Street. Dover Police Officers immediately responded to that residence and were able to positively identify five of the suspects in the video, in the home. Police took Tanasia McKeithen (12), Unique McKeithen (14), Deja Davis (13), and Destiny Washington (14) into custody without incident. Ahmir Bailey (15), fled from officers from the residence. After a brief foot pursuit, Bailey was apprehended by Dover Police. Police are still seeking the identity of the 6th suspect at this time. Six Businesses Burglarized in Treadway Towers Complex 11-7-14
Incident #: 50-14-29915 Date: November 5, 2014
Location: Treadway Towers, 9 East Loockerman Street, Dover, DE
Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a string of burglaries within the Treadway Towers complex that occurred between Tuesday, November 4th at 7:30PM and Wednesday, November 5th at 7:24AM. The incidents occurred when the suspect pried open a window to the second floor fire escape door. Once inside the complex, the suspect forced open four interior doors, causing damage to all of them in order to gain access to the specific business/office. Once inside those offices, the suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash and/or money orders. The suspect also gained entry to several offices by cutting holes through the drywall connecting the offices. The businesses affected by this incident are 1st Capital Investment, Advantage Travel, Ancient Way Massage, Christopher Asay Massage, Colonial Investment, and Tranquil Spirit Massage and Spa.

This is the 6th incident being investigated that is connected to what Dover Police are now calling the “Rat Burglar” due to the suspects method of cutting holes to enter and/or tunnel through buildings. The following cases are being investigated in addition to the Treadway Towers case:
- Melvin’s Service Center (Later determined to be DE State Police Jurisdiction)
- Maple Dale Country Club
- Manlove Auto Parts
- Woodmill Apartments Leasing Office
- Mapleton Square Apartments (October 7th-No Release Available)
