Drug Arrest Results from Vehicle Stop 12-5-14

Narrative:
A 29-year-old woman was arrested Thursday morning after police found illegal prescription drugs during a traffic stop.  At 9:07AM, a Dover Police K9 officer stopped Amber Plum because the vehicle she was operating was flagged as being involved in an Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle criminal case.  the Dover Police Department Street Crimes Unit assisted in the stop.  Further investigation revealed that Plum was the one who took the vehicle.  After being taken into custody, officers located 19 amphetamine pills and 6 oxycodone pills on Amber Plum’s person with a prescription for same.  Plum was charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle,, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Local Fugitive and was released on $3500.00 unsecured bond.

Weekly Shoplifting Arrests 11/20/14-12/4/14

Summary:
The Dover Police Department responded to 27 shoplifting calls between Noon on November 20th and Noon on December 4th (2 week period).  Of those 27 shoplifting complaints, three were unfounded, ten are still under investigation, and arrests were made or warrants obtained in 14 cases. A total of 10 adults and four juveniles were arrested during this two week period, with two adults still wanted for shoplifting charges.
