Dover Man Charged with 1st Degree Rape 12-8-14

Location: Undisclosed Residence on Chelsea Way, Dover, DE
Narrative:
A 39-year-old Dover man was arrested this weekend on one charge of First Degree Rape of a 29-year-old woman. The investigation revealed that the victim was highly intoxicated and unconscious in a bedroom in the residence. While the victim was unconscious, the defendant (Jenon McPhatter) had non-consensual sexual intercourse with the victim. McPhatter was taken into custody by Dover Police without incident and arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 where he was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $50,000 cash bond.

Dover Police Investigate Second Armed Robbery in Four Days 12-8-14
Incident #: 50-14-33056 Date: Saturday, December 6th, 2014 at 8:00PM
Location: Stop N Shop, 1102 White Oak Road, Dover, DE
Narrative:
The Dover Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating a second armed robbery of a convenience store in the same week. The incident occurred at 8:00PM, when an unknown black male suspect entered the Stop-N-Shop at 1102 White Oak Road and displayed a knife, demanding money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of currency. The suspect was described as a heavyset black male, 6’00”, wearing a black Under Armour jacket, black pants, black shoes, black gloves, and a plastic white grocery bag over his head/face to conceal his identity. Detectives are investigating the possibility of this incident being related to a similar robbery at a Valero gas station on North DuPont Highway on December 3rd.
