Pizza Delivery Person Beaten and Robbed in Capital Green Neighborhood 12-9-14

Location:  400 Block of River Road, Dover, DE

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating a late night robbery of a pizza delivery person in the Capital Green Neighborhood.  At approximately 10:25PM,  a 52-year-old male working for a local pizza restaurant, arrived at a home in the 400 Block of River Road to make a delivery.  Once the victim made the delivery, he was approached by 4 unknown black male suspects, who attacked the victim and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the driver and fled.  The victim suffered injuries to his head and facial lacerations.  The victim is currently being treated at a hospital for his injuries.

Pedestrian Death in Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident 12-10-14

Incident #: 50-14-33415   Date: Wednesday, December 10th, 2014 at 2:22AM

Location:  Leipsic Road and Plaza Drive, Dover, DE

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the area of Leipsic Road and Plaza Drive at 2:22AM on Wednesday morning.  The investigation revealed that a 25-year-old female victim was attempting to walk eastbound across Leipsic Rod at Plaza Drive, and was struck by a 2012 Chrysler 200 that was traveling eastbound on Leipsic Road.  The victim was wearing all black and was not wearing any reflective clothing or carrying a flashlight at the time of the accident.  The 25-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  Dover Police are not releasing the name of the victim, pending family notifications.  The driver of the Chrysler 200 was not charged in the incident and alcohol was determined not to be a factor in the incident.
