Two Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges 11-13-15

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department Street Crimes and Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime (DVOC) units arrested two men after conducting a search warrant at 30 South Governors Avenue.  During the search, officers located 511 grams of marijuana, 5.8 grams of crack cocaine, and 12.1 grams of PCP.  Officers also located numerous paraphernalia items used for weighing, packaging, and selling narcotics.  As a result of the warrant, Julius Powell (28) and Oscar Peterson (28), both of 30 South Governors Avenue, were arrested.

Julius Powell was committed to JTVCC in default of $49,000 secured bond for the following charges:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine
-Possession with Intent to Deliver PCP
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
-Possession of a Tier 2 Qty of PCP
-Possession of Marijuana (Tier 1 Qty)
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Arrest Made After Robbery at Bus Station 11-13-15

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department arrested and charged a Felton man with Robbery and Assault after an incident at the DART Bus Station on Thursday afternoon.  At approximately 5:10PM, Brandon Ricks (28), confronted a 52-year-old male victim and began striking him numerous times, causing him to fall to the ground.  Once on the ground, Ricks continued to punch the victim.  He then stole the victims cellphone and other personal items, fleeing toward New Street.  The victim was treated at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital and released.  Ricks was arrested a short time  later without incident and was committed to JTVCC on $22,500 secured bond on the following charges:
-Assault 2nd Degree
-1st Degree Robbery
