Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested 27-year-old Leslie Spady for a string of armed robberies dating back to December. Spady was caught immediately after a committing an armed robbery at Lepore’s Liquors on Thursday night. Spady entered the business just before 8:20PM and displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied, placing an undisclosed amount of cash into a pillowcase. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. Responding patrol officers and a detective immediately responded and began searching the area for the suspect when the detective observed Spady running southbound on Sunset Drive with a white pillowcase in hand. Spady was taken into custody without incident by the detective. Spady was found to be in possession of the cash from the liquor store robbery, as well as a black BB gun that resembled a regular handgun.
As a result of his capture, Spady was also charged in three other robberies:
-7-11, 654 N. DuPont Highway on December 27th, 2015
-Driftwood Spirits, 153 S. Bradford Street on December 29th, 2015
-Super 9 Liquors, 348 N. DuPont Highway on January 1st
Spady was committed to JTVCC in default of $110,000 Secured Bond on the following charges:
-1st Degree Robbery (4x)
-Wearing a Disguise During Commission of Felony (4x)
