Narrative:
The Dover Police Department has arrested 21-year-old Tywon Mack for the burglary of a Dover church. Between December 31st, 2015 at 12:00PM and January 2nd, 2016 at 12:30PM, Mack used a brick to break a window to the Wesley United Methodist Church at 30 E. Loockerman Street. Mack then unlocked the window and made entry inside, removing an undisclosed amount of cash from throughout the church before fleeing. Investigating officers were able to retrieve items from the church to process for fingerprints.
On January 5th at 12:35AM, Mack threw a brick through the same exact window as the first incident. However, it is believed he did not make entry because the churches audible alarm system sounded and deterred him from entering.
Later in the day, on January 5th, the Delaware State Police Bureau of Identification identified the fingerprints from the 1st burglary as Tywon Mack. Mack was arrested by patrol officers on January 9th, when they responded to a call of a suspicious person pulling on doors of another local church. Mack was taken into custody without incident.
Mack was committed to JTVCC in default of $3,300 secured bond on the following charges:
-3rd Degree Burglary
-Theft Under $1,500 (2x)
-Trespass 2nd Degree
-Criminal Mischief (2x)
