Narrative:

22-year-old James Singleton was arrested on multiple charges after an incident on Tuesday morning.  At approximately 10:44AM, Singleton entered a residence of an acquaintance in the Unit Block of Stewart Court and assaulted a 20-year-old female.  While inside the residence, Singleton damaged several items belonging to the victim.  Police arrived on scene while Singleton was still present and he was arrested without incident.  Singleton  was committed to JTVCC on $6,500 secured bond on the following charges:
-Burglary 2nd Degree
-Assault 3rd Degree
-Criminal Mischief

Home Invasion On Ann Avenue 4-14-16

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating a home invasion that occurred in the 100 Block of Ann Avenue on Tuesday night.  At approximately 9:54PM, officers responded to the residence after two unknown suspects entered the residence with handguns.  The suspects then ordered the 28-year-old male victim to the ground and held him at gunpoint by one suspect, while the other ransacked the residence.  The suspects stole the victims cell phone during the incident as well.  The suspects are described as two black males, wearing all black clothing.

Dover Police to Hold Training Exercise at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital 4-11-16

*****NOTICE OF TRAINING EXERCISE*****

On Wednesday, April 13th at 6:00AM, the Dover Police Department will be conducting a training exercise at Bayhealth Medical Center/Kent General Hospital.  The exercise will be held at the old Emergency Room located on the corner of S. State Street and Hope Street in Dover.  As a result of this exercise, the department will have several emergency vehicles and personnel on site and the section of Hope Street between S. State Street and S. Bradford Street will be CLOSED for the duration of the exercise.  The Dover Police Department is providing this notification to ease public concerns as we train to provide better service to our city.

Drug Investigation Leads to Arrest, Drug Seizure 4-11-16

The Dover Police Department Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Unit, along with members of the Delaware State Police Governor’s Task Force/Drug Unit, ended a joint drug investigation with the arrest of Dover resident, Pierre Foreman (23).  Foreman was arrested during a traffic stop in the 400 Block of North DuPont Highway at approximately 4:12PM on Thursday, April 7th.  During a search of the vehicle, Foreman was found to be in possession of 21.4 grams of raw heroin, 161 bags of heroin (2.415 grams), 1.1 grams of crack cocaine, .3 grams of marijuana, and $1,391 in suspected drug proceeds.  Foreman was taken into custody without incident and committed to JTVCC on $106,501.00 cash bond on the following charges:
-Tier 5 Heroin Possession
-Possession With Intent to Deliver Heroin (Tier 4 Qty)
-Possession With Intent to Deliver Crack Cocaine
-Possession of Marijuana
-Driving While Suspended
-Drug Paraphernalia

Residential Burglary on Fulton Street 4-10-2016

Date/Time:   Saturday, April 9th, 2016 between 2:15PM and 2:40PM

Location:  400 Block of Fulton Street, Dover, DE

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating a residential burglary that occurred on Saturday afternoon between 2:15PM and 2:40PM.  The resident stated that he left to run an errand upon returning, discovered that a 40″ television was missing.  It is believed that the suspect entered through a kitchen window and fled out the rear door of the residence prior to the victim returning.
