Death Investigation, McDonald’s Parking Lot 6-8-16

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department responded to a sudden death incident on Wednesday morning at approximately 9:51AM.  The incident took place in the parking lot of a McDonald’s when a 48-year-old male died from what appears to be an overdose.  Investigators do not believe that foul play is suspected and the body of the deceased was taken by the DE Medical Examiner’s office for examination.

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating a robbery that took place at Royal Farms.  At approximately 3:15AM, an unknown male suspect entered the business and asked for a carton of Newport cigarettes.  As the clerk had the carton in her hands, the suspect tried to snatch them away and a struggle ensued.  The suspect then jumped the counter and took three cartons of cigarettes before fleeing in a tan/gold Ford Taurus on Bay Road.

The suspect is described as a black male, approx. 6′ tall, late 20’s-early 30’s, with dread locks that are shoulder length.

2nd Suspect Identified in US GAS Robbery 6-8-16

UPDATE:

Further investigation by Dover Police Detectives has led to the identification of Jamar Waters (29) as the second suspect.  Waters has a last known address in the 300 Block of Marldale Drive of Middletown, Delaware.  Waters is wanted by the Dover Police Department on robbery charges for the US Gas incident on June 6th.  Anyone with information on Waters whereabouts or spotting Waters should contact the Dover Police Department or their local police by calling 911.

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department arrested Jason Cline (37) shortly after he robbed US Gas at 461 N. DuPont Highway.  The search continues for a second suspect who may be armed.  The robbery occurred at 10:53PM, when Cline entered the business with an unknown black male suspect.  The black male who was described as carrying a black handgun and wearing black shirt, black pants, and black shoes demanded money from the employees.  Both suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash from the business and fled on foot.  Cline was located on Frear Drive a short time later and taken into custody without incident.
