Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating a home invasion with shots fired in the Unit Block of S. New Street.  The incident occurred at approximately 8:33PM, when an unknown black male suspect fired two shots into the front door of a residence, then kicked the door open. Once inside the home, the suspect pointed the gun at the 29-year-old female victim and demanded cash.  The victim complied and gave an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect who then fled in an unknown direction.

Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest 11-13-16

Narrative:

A traffic stop as a result of using a cell phone while driving, led to the arrest of two people on various drug charges.  At approximately 2:09PM on Friday, November 11th, officers from the Street Crimes Unit stopped a black Pontiac G6 driven by Ashley Everett (32) with Keyatak Flowers (42) in the passenger seat for a traffic violation.  During the officers contact with the driver and passenger, they detected the odor of marijuana.  Flowers also provided a false name to the investigating officers.  Officers then detained both subjects and found a spring assisted knife that was 3.5″ in length, a deadly weapon. As the officers were detaining both subjects, Flowers fled on foot.  Officers attempted to stop Flowers by deploying a Taser.  Flowers then fought the officers attempts to take him into custody, striking one officer, causing minor injuries.  Flowers was then Tasered a second time, which allowed the officers to take him into custody.  When Flowers fled, he attempted to hide a bag under a nearby vehicle.  Officers found the bag and discovered 5.2 grams of crack cocaine, 13 bags of heroin, 2.8 grams of MDMA, and various drug paraphernalia.

Flowers was also wanted by four other agencies outside of Delaware and was also connected to an additional drug case in Dover.

As a result of the incident, Flowers was committed to JTVCC in default of $24,250 secured bond:

-Possession of MDMA (Tier 1 Qty)

Ashley Everett was committed to Baylor Women’s Correctional Center in default of $13,125 secured bond on the following charges:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Crack Cocaine
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin
-Possession of MDMA (Tier 1 Qty)
-Tampering with Physical Evidence
-Conspiracy 2nd
-Drug Paraphernalia
