Dover Police Announce Two Recruitment Events in January

College Expo

The Dover Police Department will host its first annual College Expo for local college students and criminal justice related students interested in a law enforcement career with the Dover Police Department.  The event will take place on Saturday, January 14th from 9:00AM-11:00AM and will include information about the hiring process, application assistance, specialized units of the agency, and a tour of the police department.

How to Succeed in the Hiring Process Seminar

The Dover Police Department will hold a seminar on “How to Succeed in the Hiring Process” on Saturday, January 21st from 9:00AM-11:00AM in the Public Assembly Room of the Dover Police Department.  The Dover Police Department is located at 400 S. Queen Street, Dover, DE 19904.  This seminar is open to anyone interested in a career with the Dover Police Department as a police officer.  You do not have to submit an application prior to attending.  Doors will close promptly at 9:00AM with no late admittance permitted.  

Residential Burglary on Greenhill Avenue 12-15-16

Date/Time:  Tuesday, December 13th, 2016 between 7:20PM and 11:20PM

Location: Unit Block of Greenhill Avenue, Dover, DE

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating a residential burglary on Greenhill Avenue that occurred between 7:20PM and 11:20PM on Tuesday, December 13th.  During that time, an unknown suspect entered the residence by pushing in a window air conditioning unit.  Once inside, the suspect stole two flat screen televisions, two computers, a Sony Playstation 4, and five pairs of Nike Jordan sneakers.

Burglary at Country Farm Food Store 12-15-16

Location: 1014 S. Little Creek Road (Country Farm Food Store), Dover, DE

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating an early morning burglary at the Country Farm Food Store on 1014 S. Little Creek Road.  At approximately 2:00AM, an unknown suspect broke the front glass door to the business and made entry.  Once inside, the suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash and change before fleeing.  No suspect description is available at this time.
