Location: Persimmon Tree Apartments, 500 Persimmon Tree Lane, Dover, DE

Officer Releasing Information:   M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer

Narrative:

Four people were arrested after police responded to a shots fired call at Persimmon Tree Apartments on Thursday night.  At approximately 10:13PM, Dover officers responded to the apartments and located a shell casing in the hallway and a bullet hole in the front door of an apartment.  Officers located Jordan Powell (25) and a six-year-old child in the apartment with marijuana in plain view.  Further investigation revealed that Michael Fisher Jr (22) and Marqueze Harris (20) were also in the residence when the shot was fired through the door and jumped out of a window, causing them both to be injured.  Both Fisher and Harris were admitted to Kent General Hospital as a result of their injuries from the fall.  Detectives obtained a search warrant for the home and discovered 127 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, $2,081 in cash, and a vacuum sealer used to package the marijuana.  Jasmine Powell is the legal tenant of the apartment, but was not present at the time.  However, all of the items discovered during the search warrant were located in her bedroom.  The shooting is believed to be drug related and is still under investigation at this time.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips can also be submitted to law enforcement through tip lines maintained by Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or on-line at http://www.tipsubmit.com or through the Dover Police Department MyPD Mobile App
