Man Arrested for DUI After Passing Out in McDonald’s Drive Thru Lane 3-20-17

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department arrested a 21-year-old man for a third offense DUI (felony level) on Saturday morning, just before 1:00AM.  Officers responded to McDonald’s at 915 S. DuPont Highway in Dover when they received a call about a driver passed out in the drive-thru lane.  Officers contacted Octavio Lopez-Hernandez and determined he was intoxicated and took him into custody without incident.  Lopez-Hernandez was committed to JTVCC in default of a $5,000 cash bond.

Stabbing on Harrison Drive, Suspect Arrested 3-20-17

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department arrested 21-year-old Daeshawn Shouman for Assault 2nd Degree and Possession of a Deadly Weapon During Commission of a Felony after he stabbed a 26-year-old man during a verbal altercation on Sunday morning.  The victim and Shouman were engaged in a verbal argument in the 1200 Block of Harrison Drive, when it became physical and spilled onto the sidewalk and roadway.  Shouman then stabbed the victim three times in the back with a pocket knife.  The victim was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital.  Shouman was released on a $45,000 bond.
