28-Year-Old Man Charged with 3rd DUI Offense 11-17-2017

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department arrested Kyle Hertz (28) for a 3rd offense DUI on Thursday afternoon.  Hertz was the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a collision in the area of Webbs Lane and S. DuPont Highway on Thursday, November 16th at 5:49PM.  It was determined by investigating officers that Hertz was under the influence of drugs at the time of the collision.  No injuries occurred as a result of the accident.  Hertz was taken into custody without incident and charged with 3rd Offense DUI, and released on unsecured bond.

Two Men Arrested on Trespass and Firearms Charges on Laurel Drive 11-17-2017

Narrative:

Two men were arrested after harassing a person at their home on Thursday evening.  Officers responded to the Unit Block of Laurel Drive in reference to two men refusing to leave a residence and throwing rocks at the victim’s windows.  Stanley Charles (22) and Emilio Charleron (23) were contacted by police and stated they were upset about professional services they were provided by the victim, so they went to the victim’s residence to confront them.  As a result, the suspects were arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Trespass 3rd Degree.  When officers conducted an inventory of the Stanley Charles’ vehicle before it was towed, they discovered two loaded 9mm magazines in the driver side door and a 9mm handgun in the glove compartment, belonging to Stanley.  As a result, Stanley was also charged with Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon. 

Both Stanley and Charleron were released on unsecured bond.

Man Arrested on Several Drug Charges After Fleeing from Police 11-17-2017

Narrative:

On Thursday, November 16th, the Dover Police Department wrapped up a drug investigation with the arrest of 48-year-old Brian Hunter.  Hunter was stopped by officers at 1:04PM in the area of East Division Street at North DuPont Highway for a traffic violations, when he fled on foot.  Hunter was taken into custody a short time later and found to be in possession of 97 grams of cocaine, 61 bags of heroin, 1.5 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.  

Officers later conducted a search warrant at his residence in M&S Trailer park in the 1500 Block of N. Little Creek Road.  As a result of the search, officers located $11,300 in drug proceeds.  

Brian Hunter was committed to JTVCC in default of $132,700 cash bond on the following charges:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine
-Possession of Cocaine
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin
-Possession of Marijuana
-Drug Paraphernalia
-Resisting Arrest

Burglary at Mr. B’s on Independence Blvd. 11-17-2017

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Mr. B’s Liquor Store on Friday morning.  At approximately 6:08AM, two suspects wearing dark clothing, through a large rock through the front glass door of the business and entered.  Once inside, the suspects took a cash register with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for a missing 20-year-old man.  Marcus Carney was last seen at approximately 8:45AM in the 400 Block of Federal Street in Dover and was wearing tan pants, grey hooded sweatshirt, and an orange shirt.  Carney has a condition that may pose a risk to his health if unsupervised.  If you have any information on Carney’s whereabouts, please call 302-736-7111.
