Narrative:
The Dover Police Department is seeking James Palmer (21) after he fled during a vehicle stop on Thursday evening. At approximately 6:14PM, officers from the Dover Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit and Delaware Probation and Parole attempted to arrest Palmer in the parking lot of Food Lion at 1030 Forrest Avenue on numerous Capias’. Upon contact, officers smelled marijuana in the vehicle. Palmer refused to comply with officers. As officers attempted to open the driver side door, Palmer put his vehicle in drive and fled the scene. Officers pursued Palmer until he fled from the vehicle in the area of Westville Road and Greens Village Drive in Wyoming, DE and fled on foot through a portion of Fifer’s Orchard. Despite assistance from a DPD K9 unit and Delaware State Police Aviation, officers were unable to locate Palmer. He is currently wanted on the following charges:
-Possession of Marijuana
-Resisting Arrest (felony)
-Reckless Endangering 2nd Degree
-Disregard a Police Signal
-Eleven Additional Traffic Offenses
