Man Robbed Leaving House Party on Paradee Drive 3-18-2018

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department has arrested one suspect and is seeking a second in connection with a robbery that occurred on Paradee Drive. Sometime between 11:30PM on March 16th and 1:00AM on March 17th, a 20-year-old male victim was leaving a house party in the area, when he was approached by two suspects (later identified as Thomas Bolden (19) and Heivyn Johnson (female 15)). Both suspects displayed handguns and took the suspects jewelry.  Thomas Bolden was taken into custody on March 18th, 2018 by without incident. He was arraigned and issued a $11,000 secured bail  and was released after posting same on the following charges:
-Robbery 1st Degree
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree

Man Shot During Armed Robbery on S. Governors Avenue 3-18-2018

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a robbery and shooting that left a man wounded in his leg on Saturday morning.  A 29-year-old male victim was walking in the area of S. Governors Avenue and W. Division Street at approximately 6:04AM, when he was approached by an unknown black male suspect.  The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s money.  The victim initially stated he did not have anything and the suspect fired a shot, striking the victim in the upper leg. The suspect then took an undisclosed amount of cash and the victim’s shoes before fleeing the area.  The victim was transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.  The suspect was only described as a black make with all black clothing.

Dover Police Police Officer Application Deadline Approaching 3-16-2018

Traffic Stop Leads to Firearms and Drug Arrest 3-16-2018

Location:   Buckson Drive at Bacon Avenue, Dover, DE

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department Street Crimes Unit, working with Delaware Probation and Parole, arrested 35-year-old Alfred Terry on drug and weapons charges following a traffic stop on Thursday night.  At approximately 7:59PM, officers stopped Terry in the are of Buckson Drive and Bacon Avenue.  During the traffic stop, officers could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle.  During a search of the vehicle, officers located 89.7 grams of marijuana and a loaded 9mm handgun.  The hand gun was later discovered to be reported stolen.  

Terry was released after posting $33,600 secured bail on the following charges:
-Possession of Firearm/Ammo by Person Prohibited (2x)
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Possession of Stolen Firearm
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
-Drug Paraphernalia

Residential Burglary on Roosevelt Avenue 3-16-2018

Location:   100 Block of Roosevelt Avenue, Dover, DE

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a residential burglary that occurred in the 100 Block of Roosevelt Avenue.  Sometime between Thursday, March 1st, 2018 and Thursday, March 15th, 2018 an unknown suspect(s) entered the residence after breaking a rear window.  The suspect took an unknown amount of cash and jewelry from the residence before fleeing.  No known suspect information is available at this time.

UPDATE: Dover Police Conducting Death Investigation After Body Was Discovered in Silver Lake 3-14-2018

UPDATE:

The Dover Police Department has positively identified the body found in SIlver Lake on Tuesday, March 13th, as Stefphone Powell.  The cause of death at this time is unknown and pending toxicology results by the Office of the Medical Examiner.  There are no obvious signs of foul play at the present time.  Powell was reported missing on Sunday, February 18th, 2018 and a Gold Alert was issued by the Dover Police Department

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is conducting a death investigation after a body was found in Silver Lake on Tuesday afternoon.  At approximately 1:09PM, officers were called to an area of Silver Lake at the rear of Lakeview Drive for a body that was found in the water.  Responding officers located a black male subject in the water.  A forensic investigator from the Office of the Medical Examiner took custody of the body.  Positive identification and cause of death are pending the medical examiner’s report.
