Narrative:
The Dover Police Department is investigating a commercial burglary that occurred between Friday, May 25th, 2018 at 7:00PM and Sunday, May 27th, 2018 at 10:17AM. During that time, an unknown suspect forced entry into the business by breaking a window. The unknown suspect then entered several offices within the building and took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested a Smyrna man in possession of a stolen firearm on Sunday morning. At approximately 1:04AM, officers were called to a home in the 300 Block of W. Division Street for a 911 hangup. Upon arrival, officers contacted a person at the home who advised somebody from a neighboring residence came to his home and asked him to call 911 because there was someone at his home with a gun. Officers were then able to contact two other subjects from that residence who described the suspect as being a black male with a gray sweatshirt and dark pants who walked in their unsecured front door to the residence and displayed a firearm, and then fled.
Officers checked the area and located a suspect matching that description in the area of North New Street and North Governors Avenue. When officers attempted contact, the suspect fled on foot but was apprehended in the 200 block of West Division Street and identified as Alex Durham (26). A loaded 9mm that Durham was carrying was located nearby and later identified as being stolen.
Durham was committed to JTVCC on $86,500 secured bond on the following offenses:
Note: Durham was not charged with any crimes relating to entering the home due to no cooperation by the victims.

-Possession of Firearm/Ammo by Person Prohibited
-Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Resisting Arrest
-Receiving Stolen Firearm
