Arrest Made After Attempted Burger King Robbery 8-10-2018

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department arrested a 20-year-old Dover man for an attempted robbery at Burger King.  At approximately 3:54PM, Nicolas Lynn entered the Burger King located at 211 S. DuPont Highway and handed an employee a note demanding money.  The employee refused and the suspect motioned toward his waistband and stated he had a gun.  The employee refused again and Lynn fled the area.  Officers responding to the area located Lynn and took him into custody without incident after being given a description by the victim.

Lynn was committed to JTVCC for Violation of Probation but was given a $7,000 unsecured bond on one charge of attempted robbery 1st degree.

Two Teens Robbed in Williams Park 8-10-2018

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of two teenagers that occurred on Thursday afternoon.  At approximately 3:15PM, two male victims (15 and 17 years old) were approached by a suspect in Williams Park off of Nimitz Road.  The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded their cell phones.  The victims complied and the suspect fled towards Nimitz Road.  The suspect was described as a black male with short hair, dark brown t-shirt, dark blue jeans, dirty red shoes, and a tattoo on his right forearm that reads “FOE.”
