Robbery In Parking Lot of Country Village Apartments 1-11-2019

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred in he parking lot of Country Village Apartments on Thursday afternoon.  Between 5:36-5:46PM, an 18-year-old male victim was in the parking lot of the apartment complex waiting to meet an alleged seller from the “LetGo” mobile app to purchase a cell phone.  He was approached by four black male suspects, two of which were armed with knives.  The suspects demanded the victim’s wallet.  One of the suspects struck the victim in the face, causing a minor injury to his mouth and stole the wallet which contained cash and other items.  Two of the suspects entered a dark-colored vehicle and fled.

Two Suspects Arrested on Weapons Charges 1-11-2019

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department arrested Tyaire Clark (17) and Jayaire Brittingham (18) on weapons charges following a firearms investigation.  Between December 2018 and January 2019, officers obtained information that the two suspects were in possession of a sawed off shotgun/rifle combo.  Officers obtained evidence that they were in fact in possession of same and obtained warrants for both.  Both suspects were arrested on Thursday, January 10th, 2019 at the Dover Public Library without incident.  Both suspects were charged with a single count of Possession of a Destructive Weapon and released on bond.  A mugshot for Clark is unavailable at the time of release.

The firearm, pictured below, has NOT been recovered.  The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130.
