Arrest Made in Governors Avenue Home Invasion/Shooting 6-3-2019

UPDATE:

Jamal Jones (20) has been arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force in connection with the May 23rd, 2019 home invasion/shooting that occurred on Governor’s Avenue.  Jones was arrested without incident on June 2nd, 2019 and committed to SCI in default of $106,100 cash bond on the following charges:
-Home Invasion
-Assault 1st Degree
-Reckless Endangering (3x)
-Attempted Robbery 1st Degree
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
-Criminal Mischief

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a home invasion that left a 32-year-old man injured with several gunshot wounds.  At approximately 6:35AM, two black male suspects broke a front window to  a home in the 400 Block of S. Governors Avenue and encountered two male subjects.  Both of the men fled from the suspects with one exiting a second floor window and another hiding in a bathroom.  The suspects fired multiple shots, striking the male victim that was in the bathroom in his lower extremities.  The victim is in stable condition at an undisclosed hospital and being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Garrison Oak Drive 6-3-2019

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a single vehicle crash that took the life of a 17-year-old on Sunday afternoon.  At approximately 12:39PM, Ryan Bundschuh of Felton, DE was operating a 2007 Kawasaki ZX6 motorcycle on Garrison Oak Drive in the Garrison Oak Technology/Business Park off of White Oak Road.  Bundschuh was performing a “wheelie” (riding with the front wheel off of the ground) while riding northbound on Garrison Oak Drive.  The motorcycle then struck a curb on the edge of the roadway, ejecting Bundschuh off of the motorcycle and striking a pole.  A friend that was with Bundschuh called 911 immediately.  Bundschuh was transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries as a result of the crash.
