Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at 7-11 located at 449 S. New Street on Monday morning.  At approximately 1:46AM, two suspects entered the business with one displaying a firearm and demanding money.  The suspects then jumped over the counter and removed cash from the register and then fled northbound on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.  The first suspect was described as a black male, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and black pants.  The second suspect was described as a light skinned black male, wearing a red, blue, and green hooded sweatshirt.

UPDATE: ARREST MADE Dover Man’s Death Ruled a Homicide Following Autopsy

UPDATE:  The Dover Police Department has charged Keith Landry (47) in connection with the death of Gerard Landry.  Keith Landry was developed as a suspect during the investigation of the August 20th assault that resulted in the death of Gerard Landry on August 25th.  On September 6th, the Dover Police Department and the U.S. Marshals First State Fugitive Task Force took Keith Landry into custody in the Hartly area without incident.  

Keith Landry was committed to SCI on $50,000 cash bond on the following offenses:
-Manslaughter 
-Possession of Deadly Weapon During Commission of Felony

Location:  Unit Block of Ann Avenue, Dover, DE

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a possible homicide as the result of an incident that occurred on August 20th.  At approximately 7:47PM, officers responded to the Unit Block of Ann Avenue for a report of an argument and a possible emergency medical situation.  Upon arrival, Gerard Landry (39) was located with a severe head injury.  Landry was transported to Kent General Hospital for treatment.  Landry succumbed to his injury on August 25th, 2019.  During the time Landry was hospitalized, it was unknown what had caused his head injury and Landry could not communicate with investigators or medical personnel as a result of his condition.  Once an autopsy was completed, it was determined that Landry’s death was a homicide, with the injury being caused by another person.

Arrest Made in August 11th Shooting on New Street 9-9-2019

UPDATE:

On Friday, September 6th, 2019 at approximately 8:30PM, officers observed Zion Saunders (18) in the area of S. New Street and Reed Street.  Saunders had been identified as a suspect in the August 11th shooting on S. New Street and was wanted by the Dover Police Department.  Officers attempted to stop Saunders, who fled in a vehicle.  During the pursuit, assisting officers were able to successfully deploy stop sticks which deflated the tires to the vehicle that Saunders was operating.  Once Saunders was stopped, he continued to physically resist officers as they took him into custody.

Saunders was issued an O.R. Bond on the following charges stemming from the pursuit and arrest:
-Disregard Police Officer Signal
-Resisting Arrest
-Disorderly Conduct
-Several Traffic Offenses

Saunders was committed to SCI in default of $26,100 cash bond on the following charges in connection with the August 11th shooting incident:
-Assault 2nd Degree
-Possession of Firearm/Ammo by Person Prohibited (2x)
-Reckless Endangering (12x)
-Criminal Mischief (2x)

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning that left a 26-year-old female with a minor injury.  At approximately 2:45AM on August 11th, officers responded to the Unit Block of S. New Street for a report of several shots fired.  Arriving officers learned that the female victim suffered a graze wound to her lower body.  The victim was treated at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital and released.  

Officers discovered several shell casings at the scene and that at least two houses were struck by gunfire. No other injuries were reported.
