UPDATE:
The Dover Police Department has charged William Cane (19) with the shooting incident that occurred in Dover Park on Sunday, September 22nd, 2019. On September 25th, the Milford Police Department received information that Cane was involved in the shooting and later located Cane. Cane was then questioned by Dover Police detectives, at which time Cane confessed to detectives that he was involved in the incident. Cane was committed to SCI on a $126,500 bond on the following charges:
-Assault 1st Degree (2x)
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Possession of Firearm/Ammo by Person Prohibited (2x)
-Illegal Gang Participation
-Reckless Endangering 1st Degree
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
-Assault 3rd Degree

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that left two men injured on Sunday evening. At approximately 6:47PM, officers responded to Dover Park for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, a 19-year-old male was located with a gunshot wound to his leg and was transported by EMS to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital. A 20-year-old male was also transported by a private vehicle to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital with gunshot wounds to his arm and hip. The suspects possibly shot from a moving vehicle that fled from the park following the incident.
Both victims are listed in stable condition as of September 23rd, 2019.
