Attempted Robbery at Court Street Liquors 10-10-2019

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery that occurred at Court Street Liquors on Wednesday evening.  At approximately 7:46PM, an unknown male suspect entered the business and displayed a silver revolver and demanded money from the employee.  When the employee refused, the suspect fled on foot toward the Capital Green neighborhood.  The suspect was described as a black male, wearing a black Adidas jacket, black pants, and a black face mask. 

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Dover Man Arrested with 131 Pounds of Marijuana in Stolen Vehicle 10-10-2019

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department arrested 24-year-old Jaquell McDonald on drug charges after he was found to be in possession of 131.4 pounds of marijuana in a stolen vehicle.  Officers contacted McDonald in the 400 Block of Haslet Street after being dispatched to a suspicious vehicle in the area.  Upon arrival, it was determined the vehicle was stolen out of Delaware State Police jurisdiction.  McDonald was contacted by officers and found to have 72.9 grams of marijuana on his person.  A search of the van led to the discovery of an additional 131.4 pounds of marijuana plants.

McDonald was released on a $65,000 unsecured bond on the following offenses:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
-Possession of Marijuana
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Tampering with Physical Evidence

Suspect Arrested for Robbery and Drug Charges 10-10-2019

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department has arrested Erion Walker (42) on Robbery and drug charges stemming from an incident on October 8th.  At approximately 12:43AM, Walker was involved in an argument with a 53-year-old male over a $10 debt.  Walker physically assaulted the victim, making him lose consciousness. Walker then took $50 cash and prescription medication from the victim before fleeing.  The victim was treated at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for injuries sustained during the assault.

On October 9th, 2019 at approximately 6:05PM, Walker was contacted by officers in the area of West Reed Street and S. Queen Street.  Officers attempted to take Walker into custody for his warrant for the robbery on October 8th.  Walker threw a black bag and attempted to elude officers upon contact.  When an officer placed one handcuff on Walker, he refused to give his second hand and refused to comply with officers commands.  

Once officers successfully arrested Walker, they located the black bag he threw.  Inside of that bag was 13 bags of heroin.

Walker was later released on an O.R. Bond on the following charges:
-Robbery 1st Degree (October 8th Incident)
-Assault 3rd Degree (October 8th Incident)
-Tampering with Physical Evidence
-Resisting Arrest
-Possession of Heroin (2x)
-Drug Paraphernalia
