Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a residential burglary that occurred on Friday evening.  The incident occurred when an unknown suspect entered a residence in the Unit Block of Moriarty Street between 7:15PM-9:00PM by forcing entry through a rear door.  Once inside, the suspect stole a laptop computer and a backpack before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Serious Motor Vehicle Accident on DuPont Highway at White Oak Road

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a serious motor vehicle collision that left two drivers in critical condition.  At approximately 12:18AM on October 12th, a black Dodge Charger being driven by Marvin Price (51), was traveling southbound on North DuPont Highway in the are of White Oak Road at a high rate of speed.  Price lost control of his vehicle, crossing into the northbound lanes of North DuPont Highway and striking a Volkswagen Passat head-on, that was driven by a 25-year-old female.  Both drivers were transported to Kent General Hospital and are in critical but stable condition.  Investigators believe that alcohol as well as speed were contributing factors in the crash.
