Man Arrested After Stealing Vehicle and Fleeing from Police 11-12-2019

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department arrested 56-year-old Kenneth Conner on Monday morning after he fled from officers in a stolen vehicle.  Officers were taking a report of a Chevrolet work van in the Kings Cliff Mobile Home Park when additional officers observed the stolen vehicle traveling southbound in the area of North DuPont Highway.  Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but Conner continued to travel southbound, running a red light at the South Bay Road Split and a S. Little Creek Road.  Conner eventually traveled to Kings Cliff Mobile Home Park where he was arrested without further incident.

Conner was committed to SCI on a $4,050 secured bond on the following offenses:
-Theft of a Motor Vehicle
-Disregard Police Signal
-Additional Traffic Violations

Dover Man Charged with 7th DUI Offense After Running Stop Sign 11-12-2019

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department arrested 63-year-old Bennie Cobb of Dover for a 7th offense DUI on Monday morning.  At approximately 2:21AM, Cobb was stopped for running a stop sign at the intersection of Fulton Street and North New Street as well as not having headlights on.  Cobb was the operator of the vehicle and found to be intoxicated as a result of alcohol consumption.  Cobb was committed to SCI on a $15,650 secured bond on the following offenses:
-DUI 7th Offense
-Driving While Suspended (License)
-Additional Traffic Violations

UPDATE: (Names Released) Two Killed in Fatal Crash on Sunday Morning 11-12-2019

UPDATE:
The Dover Police Department is releasing the names of the victims involved in the fatal crash that occurred on Sunday, November 10th, 2019.  Luis Bamaca Roblero (22) was the driver of the vehicle at the time of the crash.  Kevin Castro-Giron (28) was the front seat passenger at the time of the crash.  Both men are from the Dover area.  The details of the incident can be seen in the original release, copied below.

Location:  N. DuPont Highway at Leipsic Road, Dover, DE

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a single car collision that resulted in the death of both occupants.  At approximately 5:00AM, a 2005 Toyota Prius was traveling northbound on N. DuPont Highway, approaching Leipsic Road.  The vehicle was occupied by a 22-year-old male driver and a 28-year-old male passenger.  The vehicle travelled off the east side of the roadway striking a utility pole.  Both occupants were declared deceased on scene as a result of their injuries.

The accident caused the closure of both Northbound and southbound lanes until approximately 10:00AM.  Power was also lost in the area for several hours.  The Dover Fire Department, Delaware Department of Transportation, and City of Dover Electric assisted on scene.

Alcohol and drugs are suspected to be a factor in the crash.  The names and further details are being withheld pending next of kin notifications.
