Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Cricket Wireless on Sunday evening.  During a protest event, a group of subjects broke into the store by breaking the front window.  Once inside, the subjects stole cell phones, accessories, cash registers, and other merchandise.

Multiple Homes Struck By Gunfire on Woodcrest Turn 6-1-2020

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Monday morning.  At approximately 12:48AM, officers responded to the 800 Block of Woodcrest Turn for a report of shots fired.  Six homes were struck by gunfire but no injuries were reported.

Shooting at Cecil Street and N. Governors Avenue 6-1-2020

Location:  Cecil Street and North Governors Avenue, Dover, DE

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the area of Cecil Street and North Governors Avenue.  The incident occurred at approximately 8:31PM when officers received a call for shots fired in the area.  After officers arrived, a 20-year-old male had checked in at Kent General Hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower leg.  The victim advised he was walking in the area when approached by two subjects in masks who exited a vehicle and shot at him multiple times.  The victim fled on foot and was transported by a family member to the hospital where he was treated for a non-life threatening injury to his leg.

L&D Suzuki Burglary 6-1-2020

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at L&D Suzuki on Sunday night.  The incident occurred at approximately 9:23PM when a group of eight suspects used rocks to break glass doors and gain entry to the business.  Once inside, the suspects attempted to steal motorcycles, but were unsuccessful and fled from the area.

City of Dover Press Conference

Members of the media are invited to attend a press conference that will include the City of Dover Mayor, Robin R. Christiansen and the City of Dover Police Chief Thomas Johnson, Jr.  The press conference will be held at 4:00PM in City Council chambers located inside of Dover City Hall at 15 Loockerman Plaza.  The press conference topics include a review of the protest events that occurred on May 31st, 2020 and plans for moving forward.
