Kesselring Avenue Murder Victim’s Name Released After Next of Kin Notification 6-2-2020

UPDATE:  Following the notification of next of kin, the Dover Police Department is releasing the identity of the victim as Mykal Dempster, a 31-year-old male from the Dover area.

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department arrested two armed suspects after the shooting death of a male victim in the 300 Block of Kesselring Avenue on Monday evening.  At approximately 6:54PM, officers responded to the area for a report of shots fired and located the deceased male inside of a vehicle.  A home was also struck by gunfire during the incident.  Several members of neighborhood provided descriptions, images, and other information about the two suspects and arriving officers established a secure perimeter in the area with the assistance of the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit.  By 8:05PM, officers had arrested two suspects.  Each suspect was in possession of a handgun.  

The age and name of the victim is currently being withheld pending next of kin notification.

Raiquan Fisher (18) and Harry Charles (15) were arrested.  Both suspects were charged with the following offenses:
-Murder 1st Degree
-Conspiracy 1st Degree
-Possession of a Deadly Weapon During Commission of Felony
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Reckless Endangering 1st Degree
-Criminal Mischief

Raquan Fisher was committed to SCI on a  $180,100 cash bond.  Harry Charles was committed to a juvenile detention center on a $170,100 cash bond.

Dover Mall Looting Details, One Arrest Made 6-2-2020

Location:  Dover Mall, 1365 N. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is releasing details regarding the looting incidents that took place at the Dover Mall on Sunday, May 31st.  At approximately 7:30PM, as a large group arrived in the area of the Dover Mall, officers were notified of several burglary alarms at the mall.  Looting suspects gained entry to the mall by breaking a glass door to Forever 21.  Several people stole items from that location.  Additional suspects entered the mall and damaged a security gate to gain access to other locations within the mall.  Security gates and entry doors to T-Mobile and Foot Locker were both damaged, but the suspects did not gain access to those stores.

The suspects did gain access to Villa Shoe Store inside of the Dover Mall.  A large amount of clothing and shoes were stolen from that location.  At approximately 12:12AM on June 1st, officers observed Corey Barlow in the downtown area with two new boxes of sneakers and a coat with tags still on it.  Officers contacted Barlow and obtained his information as part of the ongoing investigation. 

At approximately 11:00AM on Monday, June 1st, officers received another burglary alarm for Villa Shoe Store.  Upon arrival, it was learned that a suspect had entered the store through a damaged security gate.  Corey Barlow (40, Dover), was arrested inside the storage area of the store as he was attempting to steal more merchandise.

Barlow was committed to SCI on a $3,700 secured bond on the following charges:
-Burglary 3rd Degree (2x)
-Theft (2x)
-Criminal Mischief (2x)

A mugshot was not available at time of release.

Dollar Tree Burglary 6-2-2020

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at a Dollar Tree store on Tuesday morning.  At approximately 1:09AM, three suspects broke the front glass window to the business with a rock.  Once inside, the suspects checked the cash registers, then proceeded to steal various food, snacks, and drinks before fleeing.

WAWA Burglary 6-2-2020

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at WAWA on Monday morning.  At approximately 2:30AM, an unknown male suspect shattered a rear glass door to the business.  Once inside, the suspect stole tobacco and vape products before fleeing.  The suspect was a skinny male with a blue mask and head covering, white t-shirt, and gray sweatpants.
