Summary: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that left an 18-year old male injured.  At approximately 1:50 a.m., the victim was sitting in a car in the parking lot near 300 Isabelle Isle.  At that time, he heard multiple shots and fled in his vehicle and then on foot.  The victim was then transported to Kent General Hospital by a friend, where he was treated gunshot wound to the chest area.  The victim’s injury is non-life threatening.  The victim was unable to provide a description of a possible suspect or suspect vehicle.

Shots Fired on Willis Road 9-1-2020

Summary: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Monday evening in the 100 Block of Willis Road.  Officers responded to the area at approximately 6:30 p.m. for a report of shots fired.  Upon arrival, they located two men who stated that they were walking in area when someone fired multiple shots at them from the rear of an apartment building in the 100 Block of Willis Road.  Officers did locate shell casings in the area where the shots were fired from.  No injuries or damage was reported.  The two men left the scene refusing to speak with detectives and failed to appear for an interview when contacted by phone.
