Driver Dies from Injuries Sustained in January 25th Crash 2-1-2021

Narrative: 

On Monday, January 25th, officers responded to the area of Scarborough Road, approximately 1,650 feet north of McKee Road for a single vehicle collision at 1:16 a.m.  The driver, Leroy Reed (45) of Dover, was transported to Kent General Hospital in serious but stable condition as the result of injuries sustained in the crash.  The accident investigation showed that Reed was driving north on Scarborough Road, approaching the bridge, when the vehicle entered the northbound shoulder and struck a guard rail.  The vehicle then crossed into the southbound lane of travel, striking a curb, exiting the roadway, and colliding with another guard rail.  Reed was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. 

On January 31st, 2021, Reed died while hospitalized as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash.   

Two Wanted by Dover Police for January 27th Robbery 2-1-2021

Update: The Dover Police Department has obtained warrants for two suspects involved in the January 27th robbery on Pear Street.  Tahlik Crowder (21), of Dover, is wanted for Robbery 1st Degree, Assault 3rd Degree, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, and other charges related to the incident.  In addition to Crowder, Camron Jackson (16) is wanted in connection with the robbery incident.  Jackson’s image is not published due to being a minor.

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred on Wednesday evening in the rear alley of the 600 Block of Pear Street.  A male victim agreed to meet one of the suspects through a social app.  When he met the man on Whatcoat Drive, he was with two other men.  The victim agreed to drive them to Pear Street.  When they stopped in the rear alley of Pear Street, the three suspects assaulted the victim and removed his car keys, wallet, cell phone, and glasses.  The suspects then fled in the vehicle (since recovered) belonging to the victim.  

The victim suffered minor facial injuries and was transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for treatment.  The suspects were only described as black males.
