Narrative:

The Dover Police Department charged Christopher Miller (33) with Child Abuse 1st and 2nd Degree for an incident involving a newborn child.  On April 22nd, 2021, detectives were notified of a possible child abuse case.  The victim, a baby boy born in March of 2021, was presented to A.I. DuPont/Nemour’s Children’s Hospital by his father, Christopher Miller for a lump/injury to his shoulder.  During a subsequent medical screening, the victim was discovered to have bruising all over his body and was suffering from several fractured bones at various stages of healing.  These injuries included fractured ribs, left humerus, left femur, left tibia, and right tibia.  During the investigation, Christopher Miller was identified as the suspect and a warrant was obtained for his arrest.  Miller turned himself in to the Dover Police Department and was arraigned on May 19th at the Justice of the Peace Court #2 and was released on a $12,000 unsecured bond.  The child victim is in the care of a relative and Miller is not allowed to have contact with the child.

Arrest Made in Turnberry Drive Burglary and Vehicle Theft

UPDATE: The Dover Police Department has charged Bernard Steininger (25), of Dover, in connection with the May 16th burglary and vehicle theft.  Steininger was developed as a suspect and warrants were obtained for his arrest.  Steininger turned himself in at the Dover Police Department on the evening of May 18th. Steininger was released on a $15,000 unsecured bond on the following charges:
-Criminal Mischief
-Burglary 2nd Degree
-Theft of a Motor Vehicle
-Theft Under $1,500

Narrative:

On Sunday, May 16th, officers responded to the area of Kenton Road for a single vehicle crash involving a black Ford Explorer with Delaware Registration PC89263.  A witness advised officers that the driver fled on foot on Kenton Road.  Shortly after, officers were called to a residential burglary on North Turnberry Drive.  In this incident, the suspect broke a rear glass door and stole the victim’s wallet, truck keys, and a vehicle.  The stolen vehicle is a red 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 with Delaware Registration 78645.  The truck has a bed cover, a marine corps front vanity plate, and two airplane decals on the rear driver side window.  

The suspect seen fleeing the accident and at the burglary was described as a white male, wearing a white t-shirt.
