Dover Police to Host “How to Succeed in the Hiring Process” Seminars

The Dover Police Department will hold a “How to Succeed in the Hiring Process” seminar on the following dates:

-Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.
-Saturday, February 26th, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.
-Saturday, March 19th, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.

All three seminars will be held at the Dover Police Department, located at 400 S. Queen Street, Dover, DE 19904.  The seminar is open to anyone interested in a career with the Dover Police Department as a police officer and will include information about the hiring process, application assistance, specialized units of the agency, and a tour of the police department.  You do not have to submit an application prior to attending.  Doors will open at 8:30AM and close promptly at 9:00 a.m. with no late admittance permitted.  The seminars typically end by 11:00 a.m.

Home Struck by Gunfire at Village at McKee Branch Apartments

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating a a shooting where an occupied home was struck on Monday evening. Officers responded to 100 Block Ensemble Court at approximately 6:40 p.m. for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived they discovered that a residence had been struck once by gunfire. The home was occupied by four people, none of which were injured. Multiple shell casings were located on Walker Road, just east of the residence, during the investigation.
