Narrative:

On Sunday, April 17th at approximately 7:53 p.m., an officer on patrol in the area of White Oak Road was approached by a 24-year-old male who told the officer that he was being chased by a subject with a gun.  After obtaining a description of the suspect and the victim pointing out the suspect, the officer attempted to contact Brandon Gatewood (28) who was running towards Manchester Square.  When the officer approached, Gatewood fled on foot but was taken into custody shortly after.  During the pursuit, Gatewood was seen clutching his front waistband.  A search of the area where Gatewood ran led to the discovery of a loaded polymer handgun (often referred to as a ghost gun).   According to the victim, Gatewood approached the victim while he was seated in his vehicle on Starboard Court and pointed the firearm at him.  The victim then exited his vehicle and fled on foot.
