Two Arrested Following Search Warrant on Lexington Place

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department has arrested George Shaheen (39) and Kamiah Allen (25), both of Dover, DE, following a search warrant in the 100 block of Lexington Place on Monday morning. Dover’s Drugs, Vice and Organized Crime Unit began an investigation into Shaheen during the month of June 2022 for the sale of drugs. On Monday, Detectives contacted Shaheen inside of a vehicle at which time attempted to flee. Shaheen was unable to get away due to the positioning of Police vehicles and was ultimately taken into custody without further incident. Once Shaheen was in custody, officers responded to his residence to execute a search warrant. When officers arrived, Allen was leaving the residence in possession of drugs. Allen was taken into custody without incident.

As a result of the search warrant officers located 208.6 grams of cocaine, 1,764.5 grams of marijuana, and $12,833 of suspected drug proceeds.

As a result of this investigation, Detectives also obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 700 block of Willow Wood Drive in Smyrna, DE. During the search of this residence, officers located 9mm ammunition, which Shaheen is prohibited from possessing.

Shaheen was committed to SCI on $162,200 cash bail on the following charges:

-Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine in a Tier 3 Quantity
-Possession of Cocaine in a Tier 3 Quantity
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana in a Tier 2 Quantity
-Possession of Marijuana in a Tier 2 Quantity
-Conspiracy Second Degree
-Possession of Ammunition by a Person Prohibited
-Resisting Arrest
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Criminal Mischief

Kamiah Allen was released after posting $57,200 secured bond on the following charges:

-Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine in a Tier 3 Quantity
-Possession of Cocaine in a Tier 3 Quantity

-Possession of Marijuana in a Tier 2 Quantity
-Conspiracy Second Degree
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

UPDATE (Subject Located): Gold Alert Issued for Missing Dover Woman

UPDATE (August 22, 2022): The Dover Police Department has cancelled the Gold Alert for Shaimere Wayman. Wayman was located safe and treated at an area hospital.

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for Shaimere Wayman, a 28-year-old Dover woman. Wayman suffers from multiple conditions that may pose a risk to her health and safety if not properly monitored and treated. Wayman is described as a black female, 5’9″ in height, approximately 180 pounds with brown hair, and brown eyes. Wayman was last seen leaving Bayhealth Kent Campus on August 11, 2022 at approximately 10:35 a.m. At the time, she was wearing a burgundy hooded sweat shirt and blue pants.

Suspect Sought After Almost Striking Officer With Vehicle

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect that almost struck an officer with a vehicle. A Dover officer was at Walgreen’s Thursday evening, when they observed a white male wearing a hat, gray shirt, light colored shorts, and black sneakers, begin to walk out of the store without paying for merchandise. The suspect fled on foot and the officer chased him. The suspect entered a brown Honda Civic and the officer advised the suspect to exit the vehicle. The suspect then drove the vehicle at the officer, however the officer was able to get out of the way unharmed. A vehicle pursuit ensued and continued for approximately 30 minutes through several towns. The vehicle pursuit was ultimately terminated due to the suspects reckless driving. 

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’0″, weighting approximately 250 pounds, with black hair.
