Shooting at Roma’s Pizza Leaves One Injured

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting at Roma’s Pizza that left a Dover man injured Sunday evening. At approximately 4:41 p.m., the Dover Police Department received a call for a shooting at Roma’s Pizza. Officers responded and located an adult male victim, of Dover, DE, who had been shot in his upper torso. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he received treatment and was listed in stable condition. Detectives arrived on scene and located one .22 caliber shell casing inside of the restaurant and five 9mm casings outside of the restaurant. Through the investigation, it was determined that someone fired the .22 caliber gun inside of the store striking the victim. After this shot was fired, several people ran from the store. After the .22 caliber was fired inside and people began to run, another individual fired the five shots from the 9mm outside of the store. No other victims were located  and the identity of the suspects is currently unknown. No  suspect description is available at this time.

Update – Dover Man Arrested for Burglary at Happy 13 Liquors

The Dover Police Department has arrested Brian Bowers, a 36-year-old Dover man, following a burglary investigation that began on October 4th, 2022 at Happy 13 Liquors. Detectives responded to Happy 13 Liquors on October 4th at approximately 10:15 a.m. to investigate a burglary that had occurred at the store overnight. Through the ensuing investigation, Bowers was identified as a suspect and Detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest. On Friday, October 7th, 2022 at approximately 08:00 a.m., patrol officers observed Bowers in the 100 block of South New Street and took him into custody without incident.

Bowers was transported to Dover Police and arraigned at JP2.

Bowers was released on his own recognizance on the following charges:
-Burglary Third Degree
-Theft Over $1500
-Criminal Mischief Under $1000

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating a commercial burglary that occurred on Tuesday, October 4th, at Happy 13 Liquors. Dover Police were called to the store at approximately 10:15 a.m. for the report of a burglary . The ensuing investigation revealed that at approximately 4:19 a.m. hours, while the business was closed, a male suspect broke a glass window and entered the business. While inside, the suspect took tobacco products, alcohol, and an undisclosed amount of money. After obtaining the property from the business the suspect fled on foot.

UPDATE (Subject Located) Gold Alert Issued for Missing Magnolia Woman

**UPDATE** The Dover Police Department is canceling the gold alert for Madeline Thompson. She has been found safe.

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for Madeline Thompson, a 24-year-old Magnolia woman. Thompson suffers from a condition that may pose a risk to her health and safety if not properly monitored and treated. Thompson is described as a white female, 5’10” in height, approximately 180 pounds with brown hair, and brown eyes. Thompson was last seen leaving Bayhealth Kent Campus on October 10, 2022 at approximately 1:30 a.m. At the time she was wearing a brown top.
