Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Dwayne Tate, 27, of Dover, DE, for attempted burglary and related charges following an attempted break in Monday night. The investigation began at approximately 8:50 p.m., when Dover Police received a call from the victim who advised that someone was trying to break in to her home. Officers responded to the house and observed the suspect, later identified as Tate, wearing a mask, on the front porch of the residence. Officers attempted to take Tate into custody at which time he ran away. Tate was taken into custody after an officer used their Taser. After being arrested, Tate was found in possession of 9 grams of marijuana. Through the ensuing investigation it was found that Tate had broken a window to the residence in an attempt to get inside.
Tate was transported to Dover Police where he was arraigned at JP7.
Tate was committed to SCI on $12,500 secured bail on the following charges: -Attempted Burglary First Degree -Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony -Resisting Arrest -Criminal Mischief -Possession of Marijuana

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating the shooting death of Walter Pereira, 29, of Dover, DE, that occurred early Thursday morning. The investigation began at approximately 3:42 a.m., when Dover Police received the call for a shooting at a residence in the unit block of Forest Creek Drive. Officers responded and located Pereira laying on the ground with gun shot wounds. Officers and Paramedics began life saving efforts until Pereira was transported to an area hospital, where he later died. Rayvaughn Jones, 29, of Dover, DE, was arrested leaving the residence where this shooting occurred. Through the ensuing investigation, it was determined that Jones lives at the residence with Pereira. The suspects are described as being two black males. No further description is available at this time.
As part of the investigation, Detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence and located the following evidence; AK47 rifle, AR-15 rifle, 12 gauge shotgun, Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun, KBI Inc handgun, Springfield Armory 9mm handgun, Freedom Arms .22 Caliber handgun, 2,130.4 grams of marijuana, 914 doses of M/30 oxycodone pills, 27 grams of methamphetamine, 6.38 grams of cocaine, 30 doses of LSD, $7,186, and several pieces of drug paraphernalia.
Jones was arrested without incident and charged with the following: -Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited(13x) -Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony(7x) -Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana -Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substance in a Tier 2 -Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 2 Quantity -Possession with Intent to Deliver LSD in a Tier 2 Quantity -Possession of LSD in a Tier 2 Quantity -Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine in a Tier 3 Quantity -Possession of Methamphetamine in a Tier 3 Quantity -Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine in a Tier 1 Quantity -Possession of Cocaine in a Tier 1 Quantity -Possession of Drug Paraphernalia -Conspiracy Second Degree

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Unique Trader, 19, Demetric Isabell, 18, and a 17-year-old male, all of Dover, DE following a search warrant Tuesday afternoon. The investigation began when Dover Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit was assisting Delaware Probation and Parole with a home visit on Trader. Upon their arrival, Officers took Trader, Isabell, a 17-year-old male, and 7 additional people into custody after a Smith and Wesson SD .40 caliber handgun, and 3.8 grams of crack cocaine were located at the residence. A search warrant was obtained for the residence and officers found an additional 3.1 grams of crack cocaine, 466.7 grams of marijuana and $810. Through the investigation, it was determined that the 7 additional individuals initially taken into custody were not involved in this incident and they were released without charges. Trader, Isabell and the 17-year-old male were taken to Dover Police for processing.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Zachary Groome, 26, of Hartly, DE, on drug dealing and weapon charges, following a welfare check at Wawa early Wednesday morning. The investigation began at 1:46 a.m., when Dover Police received a call for a welfare check at Wawa. It was reported that someone was sleeping inside of a vehicle in the parking lot. Officers responded and located the vehicle at the gas pumps. Officers contacted Groome inside of this vehicle. The officers immediately smelled marijuana inside the vehicle and a search was conducted. Officers located a Glock 19 9mm handgun, approximately 55 grams of marijuana, a digital scale and $794. Groome was taken into custody without incident and transported to Dover Police.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Anthony Mosley, 31, of Dover, DE, on weapon and drug charges following a traffic stop late Tuesday evening. The investigation began at 11:47 p.m., when an officer on patrol observed a car driving northbound on North DuPont Highway with no license plate displayed. The officer stopped the car and contacted Mosley, who was driving the vehicle. The officer observed drugs in plain view in the vehicle and a search was conducted. Officers located 1.1 grams of cocaine and a black and gray handgun inside of a bookbag, as a result of the search. Mosley was taken into custody without incident and transported to Dover Police where he was arraigned.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Aaron Grimes, 22, of Magnolia, DE, following a shooting on North West Street Monday afternoon, that left a 24-year-old man from Dover, DE injured. The investigation began at 3:31 p.m., when Dover Police received a call for shots fired in the 200 block of North West Street. Officers went to the area and located a large crowd. Officers were able to located the victim, who had sustained a gunshot wound to his thigh. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Through their investigation, Detectives determined that Grimes was at the scene of the shooting and did shoot a handgun, hitting the victim in the thigh. No other injuries were reported. Grimes was taken into custody at the scene without incident. The firearm from this incident has not been recovered.
Grimes was taken to Dover Police where he was arraigned at JP#2.
Grimes was released on $22,500 unsecured bond on the following charges: -Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony -Assault Second Degree

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Darnell Griffin,36, and Tiffany Lassiter, 35, both of Dover, DE, on weapons and related charges following an incident at the Golden Fleece Tavern Friday evening. At 11:55 p.m. Friday, Dover Police were called to the Golden Fleece for the report of a man who pointed a gun at an employee of the business. Officers responded and contacted the victim who told Officers that he was trying to remove Griffin from the bar because he was being disorderly. The victim told officers that when he was confronted, Griffin pulled two handguns from his jacket, and pointed them at the victim. Lassiter took Griffin from the bar and both left in a Chevrolet Malibu with a Temporary Delaware registration.
Officers were able to find that the suspects went toward North DuPont Highway after this incident inside of the Chevrolet Malibu. An Officer on patrol located the vehicle in the parking lot of the Days Inn, 272 North DuPont Highway Dover, DE and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Lassiter and Griffin were taken into custody without incident and officers located a loaded Springfield 9mm handgun in Griffin’s jacket pocket and a loaded SCCY 9mm handgun on the ground next to the front left tire, near the driver door, where Lassiter had previously been seated. When taken into custody Griffin provided a fake name, however officers were able to determine his true identity. Both suspects were transported to Dover Police for processing. A wanted check revealed Griffin was wanted in Pennsylvania on Weapons charges. It was also found that Lassiter had a capias for her arrest.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Undray Moaney,46, and Terrell Clark, 43, both of Dover, DE, on weapons and drug charges following a search warrant Thursday afternoon. Members of the Dover Police Department’s Drugs, Vice and Organized Crime Unit obtained a search warrant for an apartment belonging to Moaney and Clark. Officers executed the search warrant and located the following items; 15.2 grams of cocaine, Zigana 9mm handgun, Walther Arms .22 IR pistol, 31.6 grams of MDMA, drug paraphernalia, and $853.
Moaney and Clark were taken into custody without incident and were transported to Dover Police Department where they were arraigned through JP#2.
