Dover Police Detective Wins Crime Stoppers Officer of the Year Award

Dover – Dover Police Detective Timothy Mullaney Jr. received the Robert J. Seinsoth Memorial Award as the 2022 Delaware Crime Stoppers Law Enforcement Officer of the Year, at a Chiefs of Police Council ceremony held earlier this month. Detective Mullaney is a six year veteran of the Dover Police Department, currently assigned to the Criminal Investigations Unit as a Detective.

Detective Mullaney was nominated for his work on a rash of nighttime commercial burglaries from August 6, 2021 thru October 5, 2021, throughout the City of Dover. Detective Mullaney became the lead investigator on these cases and eventually made an arrest in this case. As a result of the arrest, Detective Mullaney conducted a search warrant at the suspects residence. The search warrant resulted in the recovery of the clothing items worn during the burglaries, the tools used to commit the crimes, money bags from some of the burglaries, and a safe that had been thrown in the lake behind the apartment complex.

Detective Mullaney is a highly skilled investigator and is also known as a team player amongst his peers.  Detective Mullaney is relentless when it comes to solving crimes.  He is a true asset to the Criminal Unit, the Dover Police Department and the citizens of the City of Dover.

Thank you Detective Mullaney and congratulations!
