Narrative:

The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for Alexander Melero-Almodovar, a 26-year-old male of Dover, DE. Melero-Almodovar suffers from a condition that may pose a risk to his health and safety if not properly monitored and treated. Melero-Almodovar is described as a white male, Hispanic, 5’6″, approximately 110 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes. Melero-Almodovar was last known to be in the area of Bayhealth Kent Campus, 640 South State Street Dover, DE at 11:15 a.m. on Monday morning. At the time, he was wearing a green hospital gown.

Selbyville Man Arrested On Weapons Charges Following Road Rage Incident

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Ryan Hartung, 22, of Selbyville, on weapons charges following a road rage incident Saturday afternoon. The investigation began at approximately 1:42 p.m., when Dover Police received a call from the victim advising that he was driving on North DuPont Highway in the area of Bally’s Hotel and Casino, when a male, later identified as Hartung, pointed a firearm at him after a road rage incident. The victim was able to provide a vehicle description and description of the male to officers. Officers checked the area, located Hartung, and he was taken into custody without incident. Officers located a black RIA 1911 9mm handgun on the back seat of Hartung’s vehicle following a search.

Hartung was transported to Dover Police where he was processed and arraigned.

Hartung was released after posting $1,500 secured bond on the following charges:
-Aggravated Menacing
-Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.

Dover Police Make Arrest in Manchester Square Shooting

The Dover Police Department has arrested Alexander Singletary, 19, of Dover, following a shooting investigation that began January 12,2023. Through the investigation, Singletary was identified as a suspect and warrants were obtained for his arrest.

On Tuesday 01/24/2023 at 2:37 p.m., members of the First State Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, with the assistance of Dover’s Drugs, Vice and Organized Crime Unit, and Dover Probation and Parole, Singletary was taken into custody without incident in Manchester Square.

Singletary was transported to Dover Police where he was processed and arraigned.

Singletary was committed to SCI on $10,000 secured bail on the following charges:
-Assault Second Degree
-Conspiracy Second Degree

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in Manchester Square that left a 20-year-old male from Dover injured Thursday evening. The investigation began at approximately 5:48 p.m., when Dover Police were called to the unit block of Stevenson Drive for the report of shots fired. Officers responded to check the area and did not locate a victim at this time. Shortly after, a 20-year-old male walked into an area hospital with a gun shot wound in his face. The victim was unable to communicate well with officers based off of his injury and he was transferred to a New Castle County hospital for further treatment.

There are no leads and no suspect information available at this time.

Wilmington Woman Arrested For Robbery

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Doretha Howard, 42, of Wilmington, for Robbery, following an incident that occurred Monday morning. The investigation began when Dover Police were called to the 100 unit block of West Loockerman Street at 10:03 a.m. for the report of a robbery. Officers made contact with the 74-year-old female victim, who advised she was approached by a black female, later identified as Howard, who asked her for money. The victim stated she gave Howard a small amount of money, at which time Howard began pushing the victim, and removed her wallet from her purse. Once Howard  had the victim’s wallet, she took the victim’s credit/debit cards and fled on foot. Officers were able to develop a suspect description and within 30 minutes, members of “A” platoon located Howard, who matched the description, in the area of South New Street and West Reed Street, and took her into custody without incident.

Howard was transported to Dover Police where she was processed and arraigned.

Howard was committed to BWCI on $6,100 cash bail on the following charges:
-Robbery Second Degree
-Offensive Touching

Four Adults, Two Juveniles, Arrested On Drug Dealing and Weapons Charges Following Search Warrant

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Roderick Dixon, 38, Janita Sullivan, 40, Larry Harris, 23, Khareim Hanzer, 24, a 17-year-old black male, all of dover, and a 13-year-old black male from Camden, on drug dealing and weapons charges following a search warrant Wednesday afternoon. Detectives had been conducting a drug investigation into an apartment in the 200 block of West Reed Street Dover. On 01/18/23 at 1200 hours, members of the Dover Police Department’s Special Operations Response Team, in conjunction with Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Unit, Criminal Investigation Unit, and Delaware Probation and Parole, executed a search warrant on the apartment. Prior to the execution of the search warrant, Dixon was observed conducting drug transactions in the area of the apartment and would make contact with Sullivan in a vehicle after the transactions. Upon execution of the search warrant Dixon and Sullivan were taken into custody without incident outside of the residence. Harris was taken into custody inside of the residence without incident, and Hanzer, along with two juveniles, ran from the residence. Hanzer and the two juveniles were taken into custody after a foot pursuit.

During the execution of the search warrant, officers located 1,304.3 grams of marijuana, 926 bags of heroin, and a loaded Walther CCP 9mm handgun. When the 17-year-old male was taken into custody, he was found in possession of 54.8 grams of marijuana and a Polymer 80 9mm handgun. A search of the vehicle occupied by Sullivan revealed 12.3 grams of crack cocaine, 3.3 grams of marijuana, 64 bags of heroin, glass jar containing suspected cocaine residue inside, two digital scales, and $494.

All of the above individuals were transported to Dover Police where they were processed and arraigned.

Dixon was committed to SCI on $49,101 cash bail on the following charges:
-Possession with Intent To Deliver a Controlled Substance in a Tier 2 Quantity
-Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 2 Quantity
-Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance
-Conspiracy Second Degree
-Possession of Marijuana
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Sullivan was committed to BWCI on $45,601 cash bail on the following charges:
-Possession with Intent To Deliver a Controlled Substance in a Tier 2 Quantity
-Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 2 Quantity
-Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance
-Conspiracy Second Degree
-Possession of Marijuana
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Harris was released on $2,000 unsecured bail on the following charges:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana in a Tier 3 Quantity
-Maintaining a Drug Property

Hanzer was released on $250 unsecured bail on the following charge:
-Resisting Arrest

17-year-old male was committed to Stevenson House Detention Center on $41,100 cash bail on the following charges:
-Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited(3x)
-Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Possession of Marijuana
-Resisting Arrest

13-year-old male was released on his own recognizance to a guardian on the following charge:

Man Wanted For Robbery Arrested With Handgun Following Trespassing Complaint

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Chaz Johnson, 22, of Dover, on weapons charges following a trespassing complaint Wednesday evening. Dover Police were called to a residence in the unit block of Lamplighter Lane for the report of people trespassing in the residence. Officers responded and contacted Johnson inside of the residence. Johnson was taken into custody without incident and found in possession of a .380 handgun with an obliterated serial number. A computer check revealed Johnson was wanted by Milford Police for a robbery that occurred in October of 2022.

Johnson was transported to Dover Police where he was processed and arraigned.

Johnson was committed to SCI on $62,000 secured bail on the following charges:
-Robbery First Degree
-Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
-Conspiracy Second Degree
-Assault Third Degree

Johnson was issued a $6,000 unsecured bail on the following charges:
-Criminal Trespass First Degree
