Dover Juvenile Injured in Spruance Road Shooting

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating the shooting of a 17-year-old white male of Dover that occurred early Tuesday morning. The investigation began when Dover Police responded to the 100 block of Spruance Road for a shooting. Officers responded, and upon arrival located the 17-year-old victim, who had been shot in his upper body. Officers immediately rendered aid and the victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The ensuing investigation revealed that a vehicle was also struck by gunfire during this incident. No other injuries were reported. There are no leads at this time.

This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302) 736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Shooting on Queen Street

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shots fired complaint that resulted in two homes and a vehicle being damaged. The investigation began when Dover Police responded to the area of South Queen Street and West Reed Street for the report of shots fired. Officers responded, and the ensuing investigation revealed that 2 homes and a vehicle had been struck by gunfire. Both homes were occupied at the time of shooting however there were no injuries reported. There are no leads at this time.
