Narrative:

The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for Shawn Valentine, 29, of Bear. Valentine suffers from a condition that may pose a risk to his health and safety if not properly monitored and treated. Valentine is described as a black male, approximately 6’1″ and approximately 150 pounds, brown hair, and brown eyes. Valentine was last seen in the 200 block of Trafalgar Drive. At the time, he was wearing a grey hat, black shirt, and black shorts, driving a white 2014 Infiniti QX6 with Delaware registration PC276500. Attempts to contact him have been negative.

Three Arrested Following Firearm Investigation

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department has arrested Lavar Dickson-Lewis, 19, a 17-year-old male, and a 15-year-old male, all of Dover, on weapons charges, following a firearm investigation Wednesday evening. Officers were in the 100 block of Willis Road conducting a firearm investigation, when they contacted Lavar Dickson-Lewis and a group of juveniles. Upon contacting the group, Dickson-Lewis, and a 17-year-old male ran from officers. During the foot pursuit, the 17-year-old fell to the ground, causing a handgun to fall onto the ground from his clothing. Dickson-Lewis and the 17-year-old were taken into custody after the foot pursuit, and Officers located a second handgun that had been reported stolen, following a search of the area that Dickson-Lewis had ran through. While taking the suspects into custody, and third juvenile, a 15-year-old male, attempted to remove items from the 17-year-olds pocket and became disorderly, clinching his fist and becoming aggressive toward officers. He was taken into custody and all three suspect were transported to Dover Police where they were processed and arraigned.

Dickson-Lewis was committed to SCI on $8,000 secured bond on the following charges:
-Possession of a Firearm By a Person Prohibited
-Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Receiving a Stolen Firearm
-Resisting Arrest

The 17-year-old was released on a $6,500 unsecured bond on the following charges:
-Possession of a Firearm By a Person Prohibited
-Possession of a Weapon with an Obliterated Serial Number
-Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Resisting Arrest
-Criminal Mischief

The 15-year-old was released on his own recognizance on the following charges:
-Resisting Arrest
-Menacing
-Disorderly Conduct

Two Juveniles Arrested on Weapons Charges Following Attempted Vehicle Theft Complaint

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department has arrested a 17-year-old male, and a 15-year-old male, both of Dover, on weapons charges following an attempted vehicle theft complaint Wednesday morning. The investigation began at 02:42 a.m. when Dover Police received a report that a vehicle’s alarm was going off and it appeared there was damage to it. Officers began to check the area for the suspects when they observed two juvenile males exiting the back yard of a residence wearing dark clothing and enter an Uber. Officers stopped the Uber in an attempt to contact the juveniles at which time they ran from the vehicle on foot. Both suspects, a 17-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, were taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. Officers checked the area where the suspects ran and located two handguns. One of the handguns had been reported stolen. The suspects were also found in possession of tools commonly used to facilitate the theft of vehicles. The suspects were transported to Dover Police where they were processed and arraigned.

Dover Pair Arrested On Drug Dealing and Firearm Charges Following Search Warrant

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department has arrested Amir Lloyd, 21, and Jada Wright, 22, both of Dover, on weapons and drug dealing charges following a search warrant early Tuesday morning. The Dover Police Department’s Drugs, Vice and Organized Crime Unit obtained a search warrant for an apartment located at 400 North DuPont Highway, associated with Lloyd and Wright following an investigation into the residence. On Tuesday, Officers executed the search warrant and Lloyd and Wright were taken into custody without incident. During a search of the residence, Officers located 7.6 pounds of marijuana, 18 doses of MDMA, and fully automatic 9mm Glock 17 handgun. Lloyd and Wright were transported to Dover Police where they were processed and arraigned.

Lloyd was committed to SCI on $32,600 cash bail on the following charges:
-Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
-Possession of a Firearm By a Person Prohibited (x2)
-Possession of a destructive weapon
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana in a Tier 2 Quantity
-Possession of Marijuana in a Tier 2 Quantity
-Possession of MDMA in a Tier 1 Quantity
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Wright was released on an OR bond on the following charge:

Warren is described as a black female, 5’3″, 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Warren was last seen in the unit Block of Greenway Square on June 3rd, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. At the time, she was operating a 2009 Volkewagon Convertible with Delaware Registration 742634, wearing a McDonald’s Shirt and jeans. Attempts to contact her have been negative.

Shooting on Barrister Place

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 400 block of Barrister Place, leaving a 19-year-old male of dover injured Sunday evening. The investigation began when Dover Police received a call for shots fired in Barrister Place at 11:13 p.m. Officers responded and could not locate any victims on the scene. While on scene, the victim showed up to Bayhealth Kent Campus in a private motor vehicle with a gun shot wound to his upper body as a result of the above shooting. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Further examination of the scene revealed that a vehicle had also been struck by gunfire during this shooting causing damage to a rear window. 

There are no leads and no suspect description available at this time. No other injuries were reported.
