Narrative:

The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for Deandra Hicks, 19, of Dover, DE. Hicks was last seen on December 20th, 2024 at approximately 7:00 p.m. at a residence in the 500 Block of N East Ave Dover, DE. Hicks is described as a black female, 5’3”, 115 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. At the time, she was wearing a black “Champion” hooded sweatshirt and black tights. Attempts to contact her have been unsuccessful and there is a concern for her safety.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Deshaun Williams, 31, of Dover, following a shooting Sunday evening. The investigation began at 7:10 p.m., when Dover Police received several calls for a shooting in the 100 block of Maple Glen Drive. Officers responded and located the victim, a 39 year old male, who had been shot in his upper body. Officers provided medical aid to the victim until he was transported to an area hospital for treatment where he was listed as critical but stable condition.

The ensuing investigation revealed that Williams was in a verbal argument with the victim and at some point Williams pulled out a firearm, shot him, then left the area. Williams was later arrested by the Delaware State Police in the Hartly area and turned over to the Dover Police Department to be processed and arraigned.

Williams was committed to SCI on $78,000 cash bail on the following charges:
-Assault First Degree
-Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
-Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (2x)
-Reckless Endangering First Degree

Williams is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
