Narrative:
The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for Faith Ewell, 14, of Dover. Ewell was last seen in the unit block of Ironwood Court on Friday, September 19th at approximately 9:00 p.m., wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and gray leggings. Attempts to contact her have been unsuccessful and there is a concern for her safety. Ewell is described as a black female, 5’05”, 120 pounds.

Narrative:Â The Dover Police Department has arrested Thomas Kennedy, 56, of Dover, again, following the continued investigation into the sexual abuse of children. On July 30th, Kennedy was arrested for Sexual Abuse of a Child by a person of trust. At the time of his arrest, Detectives had information that there may have been more victims affected by Kennedy. Through this investigation, Detectives identified three additional victims and obtained a warrant for his arrest. The Dover Police Department recognizes the strength and bravery of the victims who came forward, knowing how difficult it is to speak out about such painful experiences. We urge anyone else who has been affected to come forward, so their voice can be heard and justice can be pursued.
On Thursday, September 25th, 2025, Kennedy turned himself in to the Dover Police Department.
Kennedy was released after posting a $16,500 secured bail on the following charges: -Sexual Abuse of a Child By a Person of Trust (2x) -Unlawful Sexual Contact Second Degree(13x) -Sexual Solicitation of a Minor

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a home damaged late Wednesday night. The investigation began at 10:38 p.m., when Dover Police received a call for shots fired in the area of South New Street and West Reed Street. Officers responded and located evidence that a shooting had occurred in the area. The ensuing investigation revealed that a home in the 300 block of West Reed Street was damaged during the shooting. Thankfully, the house was unoccupied, and no injuries have been reported as a result of this incident.
There are no leads to release at this time.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Terrell Boyce, 29, of Greenwood, following a knife-point robbery that occurred Saturday evening. The investigation began at 7:26 p.m. Saturday, when Dover Police responded to the business for a theft. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the victim. The ensuing investigation revealed that the suspect entered the store, displayed a knife, and demanded that the victim open the cash register. The victim complied, and the suspect stole money and then left.
With the assistance of the Delaware State Police, the suspect was identified as Terrell Boyce.
On Sunday, September 21st, 2025, Officers from the Dover Police Department took Boyce into custody operating a vehicle in the 300 block of Bluecoat Street, Dover, DE. Boyce was transported to Delaware State Police Troop 3 for further investigation.
Boyce was committed to SCI on $30,000 cash bail on the charges from the Dover Police Department, which are as follows: -Robbery First Degree -Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Robert Young, 36, of Dover, following a burglary that occurred at Driftwood Spirits early Thursday morning. The investigation began a 2:54 a.m., when Dover Police responded to the business for a burglary alarm. Upon arrival, Officers found the front glass door to be shattered. The ensuing investigation revealed that the suspects broke the front glass and entered the store. Once inside, they removed several products and left.
Through this investigation, Robert Young was identified as a suspect and taken into custody without incident in the area of South Governors Avenue and West Reed Street on September 18th.
Young was committed to SCI on $11,000 secured bail on the following charges: -Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony -Burglary 3rd Degree -Possession of Burglar’s Tools -Theft Over $1,500 -Conspiracy Second Degree -Criminal Mischief Less than $5,000
The Dover Police Department has arrested a 17-year-old male, and Rshawn Chappell, 18, both of Dover, on robbery charges following an investigation that began on September 1st. (see the original release below) Through the investigation into the robbery, both suspects were identified and warrants were obtained for their arrest.
The 17-year-old male was arrested on September 17th, 2025, by the Street Crimes Unit in the 800 block of West North Street, Dover, DE. He was also found to have a handgun with an obliterated serial number.
Chappell was arrested on September 18th, 2025, in the area of West Division Street and Kent Ave, Dover, DE.
The 17-year-old was committed to Stevenson House on $25,000 secured bail on the following charges: -Robbery First Degree -Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony -Aggravated Menacing -Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony -Conspiracy Second Degree -Assault Third Degree -Possession of a Firearm By a Person Prohibited -Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number
Chappell was committed to SCI on $56,000 cash bail on the following charges: -Robbery First Degree -Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony -Aggravated Menacing -Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony -Conspiracy Second Degree -Assault Third Degree
Both are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred early Monday morning. The investigation began at 1:08 a.m. when Dover Police received a call for an armed robbery in the 400 block of North New Street. Officers responded and contacted the victim. The ensuing investigation revealed the victim was seated in a vehicle when he was approached by two black males, wearing dark clothing, and riding electric scooters. The suspects had handguns and demanded that the victim turn over property. The victim complied, and the suspects fled. During this incident, one of the suspects hit the victim in the face causing minor injuries.
There are no additional leads at this time.
