Location: 300 Block of Mockingbird Avenue, Dover, DE

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured a Dover man late Wednesday night. The investigation began at 11:50 p.m., when Dover Police were called to the 300 block of Mockingbird Avenue for the report of a shooting. Officers responded and located the victim, a 33-year-old of Dover, who had sustained a gunshot wound to his lower body. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment and later released. The ensuing investigation revealed that an unknown black male shot the victim inside a residence in the 300 block of Mockingbird Avenue and fled.
There are no additional leads to release at this time.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Arkeem Adkins, 34, of Dover, for an attempted robbery that occurred Wednesday afternoon. The investigation began at 3:05 p.m., when Dover Police received the report of a robbery at Dollar General. While enroute to the scene, it was reported that an independent security company, RPS security, had detained the suspect following the incident. Officers responded and the ensuing investigation revealed that Adkins entered Dollar General, motioned like he had a firearm, and demanded money from the employee. The victim was able to flee the store, and Adkins left without receiving any money.
Adkins was transported to the Dover Police Department, where he was processed and arraigned.
Adkins was committed to SCI on $60,000 cash bail on the following charge:
-Attempted Robbery First Degree
Adkins is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Phillip Nelson, 46. of Smyrna, DE, following the investigation into a robbery that occurred late last week. The investigation began on Thursday, October 23rd, at 1:34 p.m., when Dover Police received the call for a robbery at Diamond Valley Jewelers located in the Dover Mall. Officers responded and spoke with the business. The ensuing investigation revealed that a male and female entered the store, expressed they had a firearm, and removed merchandise without paying for it. The male was later identified as Nelson and warrants were obtained for his arrest. The female was identified as Monifah Carter, 29 of Dover, and warrants are on file for her arrest.
On Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., the Dover Police Department’s Special Operations Response Team executed a search warrant on an apartment in the unit block of Courtside Drive, Dover, DE. Nelson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Dover Police Department. Carter is currently wanted and if you have information on her whereabouts, please contact Dover Police at 302-736-7111.
Nelson was committed to SCI on $62,000 cash bail on the following charges:
-Robbery First Degree
-Possession of a Controlled Substance
-Conspiracy Second Degree
Nelson is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that left four people injured Monday night. The investigation began at 7:54 p.m., when Dover Police received a call for a shooting in the 100 Block of Mifflin Road. Officers responded and located four victims; an 18-year-old male, a 23-year old male, a 21-year-old male, and an 18-year-old male, all from Dover. The ensuing investigation revealed that the victims were at a residence in the 100 block of Mifflin Road when an unknown make/model vehicle drove by and the suspect(s) shot several times injuring the victims. All victims were transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Burrito Bar early Sunday morning. The investigation began at 9:24 a.m., when Dover Police responded to the business for the report of a burglary. Officers responded and contacted the employees. The investigation revealed that at 5:33 a.m. on Sunday, a suspect forced entry into the business and stole money. The suspect then left.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 16-year-old male of Dover injured. The investigation began at 4:41 a.m., when Dover Police responded to Bayhealth Kend Campus for a gunshot victim. Officers arrived and contacted the 16-year-old victim, who had sustained gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body. The ensuing investigation revealed the victim was walking on Trafalgar Drive and was shut by an unknown suspect.
