Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at First State Vape early Tuesday morning. The investigation began at 2:28 a.m. when Dover Police received a call for a burglary alarm at the business. Officers responded and found the front door had been shattered. The ensuing investigation revealed that a light-skinned black male forced entry into the business by shattering the front door. Once inside, the suspect removed several products and left.
There are no further leads at this time.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Noah Blake, 18, of Dover, following a firearms investigation Monday afternoon. The investigation began at 1:49 p.m. Monday, when members of the Street Crimes Unit contacted Blake in the area of Mifflin Road and Fawn Street in regards to a firearm investigation. Blake ran from Officers when contacted however he was taken into custody following the foot pursuit. Officers located a loaded 9mm Smith and Wesson handgun in the path Blake ran.
Blake was transported to Dover Police Department, where he was processed and arraigned.
Blake was released on $13,050 unsecured bail on the following charges:
-Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Tampering With Physical Evidence
-Criminal Trespass Third Degree
-Resisting Arrest
Blake is presumed innocent until proven guilty.



The Dover Police Department has arrested Christy Guzman, 45, of Dover, for the robbery that occurred Saturday evening on White Oak Road. Through their investigation, Guzman was identified as the suspect responsible for this incident and warrants were obtained for her arrest. On Sunday, Patrol Officers observed Guzman and took her into custody without incident. She was transported to Dover Police Department where she was processed and arraigned.
Guzman was committed to BWCI on $15,000 cash bail on the following charges:
-Robbery First Degree
-Assault Second Degree

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred Saturday evening on White Oak Road. The investigation began at 6:42 p.m., when Dover Police received a call for a robbery in the 800 Block of White Oak Road. Officers responded and contacted the victim, a 53-year-old female who had been pepper-sprayed. The ensuing investigation revealed that the woman was at a bus stop in the area when she was approached by a skinny white female who began to argue with her. The suspect then pepper-sprayed the victim and stole her purse before leaving the area. The victim was transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment.
The suspect is described as a white female wearing a white t-shirt and dark pants.
This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302) 736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Attempts to contact her have been unsuccessful. Allen is described as a black female, 5’8″ 152 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what she was wearing at the time.

Narrative:Â Â The Dover Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that resulted in the death of a 22-year-old Dover man. The investigation began at 10:54 p.m. when Dover Police received a call that a car had struck a utility pole/transformer in the 600 block of North DuPont Highway. Officers responded and located a 2003 Toyota Camry that had struck the pole and had caught fire. Dover Fire Department responded and was able to extinguish the fire and eventually extricate the victim. Sadly, the victim died as a result of his injuries sustained during this collision.
The ensuing investigation revealed the Camry was driving southbound on North DuPont Highway and for reasons currently unknown, left the roadway and struck the utility pole.
Whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the collision remains under investigation. The victim was turned over to the Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notifications.
