Narrative: 

Dover – The Dover Police Department and Delaware Probation and Parole arrested Norman Singleton (40) on drug charges on Wednesday morning.  At approximately 10:45AM, Dover police assisted Delaware Probation and Parole with an Administrative Search of Singleton’s room at the Dover Inn.  Officers located 5.3 grams of crack cocaine packaged in 23 baggies for sale.  Singleton was arrested and committed to SCI in default of $6,500 secured bond and $10,000 cash bond on the following charges:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Crack Cocaine
-Possession of Crack Cocaine
-Drug Paraphernalia
-Endangering Welfare of a Child
-Violation of Probation

Gold Alert Cancelled for 18-Year-Old Dover Man 12-5-2018

Update: The Gold Alert for Charles Kleinbard has been cancelled after being located safely in Wilmington, DE on Wednesday, December 5th, 2018.

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for a missing 18-year-old. Charles Kleinbard was last seen on Monday, November 26th at approximately 12:00PM leaving an apartment in the 800 Block of Isabelle Aisle.  Kleinbard suffers from a condition that may pose a threat to his well-being if not monitored properly.  Kleinbard was described as a white, hispanic male, 5’9″, 119 pounds, with short brown hair.   If you have any information on Kleinbard’s whereabouts, please contact the Dover Police Department at 302-736-7111.

Body Found in Schutte Park Result of Suicide 12-4-2018

Narrative: 

Dover – The Dover Police Department responded to the parking lot inside Schutte Park on Tuesday morning for the discovery of a body.  Upon arrival, officers located a 26-year-old male that was deceased.  The injuries sustained by the 26-year-old man as well as the evidence located at the scene indicate that the man died as a result of suicide.  The Dover Police Department will not be releasing the name of the man out of respect for the family.

Dover Police Investigating Fatal Motor Vehicle Incident 12-1-2018

Narrative: 

Dover – The Dover Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle collision that was possibly the result of a fatal medical situation.  At approximately 11:07PM, Jarvis James (65) was traveling northbound in the area of the 300 Block of N. Governors Avenue.  While traveling, James struck two parked vehicles on the shoulder of N. Governors Avenue and continued to travel northbound, eventually crossing the into the southbound lane and striking a Jeep that was traveling southbound.  The occupants of the Jeep were transported to a local hospital for their injuries and were listed as serious but stable condition at the time of release.  Based on early evidence, it is believed that Jarvis James suffered from a medical emergency that caused him to be incapacitated and possibly caused his death.

Probation Check Leads to Drug and Firearms Arrest 11-29-2018

Narrative: 

Dover – The Dover Police Department and Delaware Probation and Parole arrested a Dover man on probation on firearm and drug charges o Wednesday night.  At approximately 10:06PM, officers responded to Nathan Ward’s (53) residence in the 200 Block of N. Kirkwood Street for a curfew check.  Officers located marijuana in plain view and conducted an Administrative Search on the residence.  During that search, the following items were discovered:
-279.5 grams of marijuana
-126 .5mg Alprazolam Pills
-157 1mg Alprazolam Pills
-One Oxycodone Pill
-Approximately .6 grams of crack cocaine
-2 Digital Scales
-Packaging Material
-Approximately 100 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition
-Approximately 23 rounds of 20 gauge ammunition
-Savage arms .22 caliber/20 gauge “under-over” shotgun
-$6,070 in cash (drug proceeds)

As a result of the arrest, Ward was committed to SCI in default of $36,250 cash bond and Violation of Probation on the following charges:
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Possession of Firearm/Ammo by Person Prohibited (3x)
-Possession with Intent to Deliver (3x)
-Possession of Marijuana
-Possession of Controlled Substance (4x)
-Drug Paraphernalia
-Violation of Probation

Hospital Employee Charged with Theft of Prescription Drugs 11-28-2018

Location:   Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, 640 S. State Street, Dover, DE

Narrative: 

Dover – The Dover Police Department arrested a Bayhealth Kent General Hospital employee on theft and drug related charges on Tuesday, November 27th.  Public Safety officers from the hospital learned of suspected drug thefts from a pharmacy at the hospital and notified police.  As a result of the investigation, it was learned that Paul Davis (48) was stealing several prescription pills while working in the pharmacy for the past year.  Davis was arrested at his Felton residence without incident on November 27th.  

Davis was released on $72,000 unsecured bond on the following charges:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Tier 4 Prescription Pills
